I didn’t get a chance to watch that link but I know the CBS broadcast cut some of Derek’s work.

It's the CBS feed, trying to find a full version if possible

I assume everyone gets earworms that randomly get in your head for a day or two.  Usually, they aren’t even songs that I like, pop stuff that my daughter listens to or TV jingles.

This song somehow maneuvered its way into my brain.  It’s hard to have a bad day while you’re humming this one repeatedly.

John Mayer?

Seems odd to have him with Country guys.

He plays a lot of blues-oriented stuff and they are trying to reach more people.     We are a Triple A station and our station plays Zach Bryan but I don't think our country station plays him.     Zach fights the Country Music Machine so they don't play him as much as they should and he is proving he doesn't need them.     His new single sounds more like Lumineers than a country song.

I believe he actually did a country-ish album at one point.

Michigan Stadium concert sold out in less than 2 hours.

I didn’t realize that set a record for a ticketed concert. George Strait had the previous record.

Thanks for sharing. We watched it that night and in my non expert opinion… Dave doesn’t look well.  His face reminds me of a good friend of mine who has had 3 heart attacks, 2 of them a few days after we went to a baseball game. He’s gonna pop.

Waiting for the FCC memo that either tells us what music we can or can't play or bans all non-U.S. born artists from the radio.     They are investigating stations to see if artists are being frozen out for not doing station events.     I've been in radio for 38 years now and I have never "punished" an artist like that.  I never play that game, it's stupid -- only hurts your own station.    But where does a line get drawn?  Maybe you're not playing something because you don't think it's a good song or a good fit.

The Killers should have been the first concert there.

They tried to get them to come play the song live at a game, but it didn't work out.

Part of the issue is they couldn't sell beer up until last year and they weren't going to have a concert without beer or alcohol sales.   That was the biggest hurdle.

This show in September is a trial.  If it goes well, expect a couple shows a year in the future.
