SoCalTiger Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Seriously just start playing Garneau as the starter for the next 10 games or so and see how it goes. Quote

Edman85 Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Polanco should have been out at first. His left foot was out of the runners lane when he was hit by the ball. By rule, out. Quote
kdog Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 The rebuild never got out of the starting block. You can't be a serious organization and play the Castros. Avila has already been marginalized. They are still bad. We just have to be patient. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 The Twins have figured it out: Hit it to Castro. Quote
Dtrain72 Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Is either Clemens or Kridler at 3rs really a worse fielder than Castro and worse hitter than Candy at this point? Quote
Archie Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Once again all of this is on Hinch. I'm really starting to doubt his ability as a manager. Does he know how to play outfielders? He must think he can stick anyone out there and it will be fine. First we watch Haase botch outfield plays now Wily. I know not everyone is a Willy Mays but come on this is ridiculous. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 and why is Skubal still out there? Beat up the one guy who was at least trying to keep you in the game? Hinch is losing it. Quote
Tigermojo Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Baez says I'll just do everything myself here guys. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 At least the Wings supposedly improved team took 2/3 of a season to collapse. Quote

kdog Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Hinch has not had a good start. But this is entirely about Avila's failure to develop everyday players outside of the tanking draft picks. They don't have any guys to fill in gaps when injuries come up. They revamped the entire development staff only last year and Avila's role is more ceremonial right now. Things have to be happening behind the scenes when you are tanking so you are ready to succeed when all the kids are ready. They did nothing. We are still playing the Castros, Vic Reyes, etc. 1 Quote

gehringer_2 Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 They are all playing wound up taut. Not really saying much about Hinch's supposed magic in the clubhouse. Quote

mtutiger Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Really painful listening to Johnny Kane pop in to talk about Miguel's dreams of winning a championship. Probably preplanned for the broadcast, but it's so poorly timed with the on-field product Quote

They could be calling guys and giving them a shot. There is no reason at all not to give Clemens, who is playing well, a shot. They just won't do it. Cameron gains nothing playing at Toledo, he probably catches the ball Haase missed and the ball Willi missed. 1 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 and Willi get's doubled off. Just too appropriate. Quote
mtutiger Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 As bad as they have played, they are also just snakebit on luck. Good Lord, that's like getting kicked in the balls over and over again. Quote

And Hill is a better defender who makes more contact. Cameron doesn't have a role unless his bat plays. Quote
