Motown Bombers
The Vikings pick is already in. Guessing Willis. It would make sense. Hopefully he's another Tavaris Jackson.

Damn, it's gonna be another decade like it was for us with Rodgers. 😞
Mr.TaterSalad
Amazing that no one traded up for Malik Willis to get that potential 5th year option. Malik Willis must really have big concerns that organizations don't think they can coach up and fix.
buddha
so would you rather have williams or cine/pickens?

I have a man crush on both of them so I'd probably rather have Cine/Pickens at this point but if we can get a great player at 46 it could sway my decision. If Williams really is the top WR in this class and that means he is a high level #1 guy than Williams. If he turns into a #1 outside threat who can net 75+ receptions, 1,100+ yards and be a 9-10+ TD per year than I think we win this trade unless one of Cine or Pickens turn into an All Pro type of player. Motor City Sonics
The way receivers are getting paid now you will probably need to draft one in the Top 3 rounds every year, so you have good young receivers you can afford.
Motor City Sonics
Well, the Lions went safe and then got bold, like we want them to.

And with the cap projections the way they aren't that isn't going to matter. And its not like any team minds paying for a good QB. The whole trade up for the fifth year thing works only if you are expecing to be a super bowl conterder in like year 2. Few teams with pick 32-40 are. Motown Bombers
The Vikings pass on the best safety in the draft to only trade back and draft a safety.

Yeah, a really, really puzzling series of events for the Vikings. I still can't see the logic in what their new GM did here.

Motown Bombers
Yeah when they moved that far I thought for sure they gave up a future 1st. Not only am I surprised Minnesota made that trade, but they made it to a division rival.

TP_Fan
That’s the interesting part of a new GM. The new Vikings guy has been a VP with the browns since 2017, niners before that. He has no recent animous with the lions. He probably didn’t view trading within the division as we do, an outright sin unless you fleece the opponent. Today the lions won a really good trade. Vikings wanted to move up a few slots in the 2nd and get an extra 3rd. Lions went dynamic.
sagnam
I don’t understand the whole issue with trading with a division rival. The goal should be to get better. What the other team wants or who it is is irrelevant. Obviously this assumes the attempt at fair value at a minimum.
