Just because a QB was there, doesn't mean you have to take him. It wasn't that long ago that Goff was the must have number one QB. I'm old enough to remember when Goff and Wentz were the future of the league. Dorsey is a part of this offense and waited until the right time to draft a QB. They could also be taking a different approach and building the roster and waiting until the next Watson, Russell or Stafford become disgruntled and swoop in and grab them.

Or they're waiting until the prospect they want is on the board. If they don't feel there's one in this draft, we still have draft stock to move up next year.

Packers trade up to 34 to take a WR lol, there goes Hongbits argument.

2nd round.  Completely different.    Will be interesting to compare the development of Watson vs. Williams.

I see some goal posts moving.

What is the Vikings draft strategy, to make everyone in the NFC North better than them?

They are doing well if so.

Nah.   In fact it proves my point more.  They were always taking a WR.  They didn’t find the need to go up and get one in the first round even though they could have.

It did the exact opposite of proving your point. But go on.  And now it’s reported the packers tried to trade up into the first rd yesterday.

They traded a higher pick to move up in the 2nd round than the Lions did.

No way.  Your math is way off.

Probably already posted but first time Im seeing it, not quite as excited as they were for Sewell.

Btw what if Jameson responded with "uh not really" when Holmes asked him if he was ready to be a Lion? Im partially joking but for real if that were to happen I wonder if there was a plan b or if they could just cancel the trade?
