It opens - in color.   A loading dock some generic place in Canada (Canadian flag is shown).   A couple of the guys loading whatever they are loading are bitching about the pandemic and the supply chain slowdowns and how everything is late.   When the truck is loaded they walk over to the cab and hand the manifest to the truck driver, a bald man, wearing sunglasses, he does not say much of anything.  He signs it and one of the loading dock workers says  "you're all clear, smooth sailing all the way to Yellowknife".   The truck pulls away, Manitoba plates..............various quiet shots of the truck........the wheels, the cargo in the back, the inside of the cab, the back seat sleeper space.........the camera pans around and the bald truck driver comes back into view and as he pulls the mask off his mouth the picture turns to black and white...........because it's Jimmy/Saul/Gene/Viktor.........long haul Canadian Truck Driver in 2022.    Cue theme song not working because the tape is trashed................the next forty minutes is how we got here.    the last ten is how he gets caught.

I really think the one more Walt scene will be Walt & Saul in the Vacuum Cleaner Guy's basement,  that night.  It'll be dark.  Darker scene kind of hides some of the aging from the original scene.

I can just imagine that leads to Gene calling Ed only to have someone answer the phone saying Ed just died.

Was it known that Marie Schader was going to be on? I don’t really go to the blogs that talk about upcoming stuff like that.

There is another Breaking Bad character showing up too.  I don't know who, but I think it will be Bill Burr's Ron Kuby

It felt like a different show tonight.   One last scheme but we didn't get to see how he built the scheme, we just saw the end of his bargaining.

Did it stick the landing?

I say yes, but in subtle ways.

A show that is so full of surprises, the two surprises in this episode was that the chase was over in 5 minutes.   His greed got him.   Going back for the diamonds.   I was thinking the last episode when Jeff got arrested that he should have hung up that phone grabbed his diamonds, stolen watches and scammed cash and skidaddled immediately, but he got cocky.   Thought he was going to walk into the police station and play them right under their noses, but a 90 year old lady with a Life Alert brought him down.   The other surprise is that he owned up to it all.  First time in his life.   He still gets to be a celebrity and he's probably jailhouse lawyering everyone in the joint - it's the thing that keeps him safe and alive in there.

Awfully brave choice to have the last 4 episodes in black & white.

So Vince, what's next, buddy............I'm in !

I have many thoughts that I can’t really gather properly.  Great episode.   Great Series.  I love how it ended in the same way it started in S1E1 with Jimmy and Kim sharing a cigarette against a cement wall.
