Ah got it. I’d never heard of them when my friend got tickets but I recognized a few songs.  Then I realized they had a huge following.  Masonic was sold out. I dug it.

I decided to start watching again last night. Going in and just watching and not waiting for a Breaking Bad reference helps. When it first came out, I kept trying to anticipate when it would get to the Breaking Bad timeline instead of just enjoying the ride.

This is the way. 
 

Im halfway thru season 3 now and I’m amazed again at how much I forgot.   Being able to binge it helps too.

To me, it's the last show I watched where I REALLY had to pay attention.

That’s why my wife wasn’t fully on board. She gets too distracted.  I’m always saying “watch!  You can’t just listen. You can’t fold laundry and watch a show like this. Your eyes need to be looking at everything on the screen.  That blurry guy in the back?  It matters.  That billboard?  It matters”.
