You're telling me a rotation of Montaz, Erod, Mize, Skubal, and Manning, when all healthy, is not better than what we currenly have?  Eventually we'll be pining for young arm like Montaz that this team could sign and control when the bats finally wake up a bit.  Montaz could be a piece here for a while, Erod for example, is not.

Sure, it's better. But the bigger raging fire they have at the moment is the fact that they have next to no offense. Montas does not solve that problem.

And that's setting aside that it probably takes at least a Mize or Manning to actually acquire Montas.
