Anyone know if theres a site that has updated farm system rankings after this years draft? https://thehockeywriters.com/nhl-farm-system-rankings/ is the only one I could find from like January of this year...... (Does have Red Wings #2 though)

Yeah - he does seem like a good guy. Maybe he and the team were just burned out on each other and he will get another shot somewhere else.

Blashill definitely was wrong for the Wings' rebuild I would say (I don't think he ever really adapted his systems much to the players or the situations) but I don't think he's a bad coach.  He's been successful at every other level, I wouldn't be shocked if he's a great assistant in Tampa.  He is also best friends with Cooper so that'll help you get a job!  I wouldn't be shocked if he got a chance as a head coach in a few years.

johnny hockey leaves as a free agent.  malkin re-signs.  ottawa trades for talbot and looks to sign giroux.

ottawa getting good all of a sudden.

a couple people predicting copp to detroit.  hopefully on a 4 year deal.

Ottawa has drafted well and has developed a very nice young core.  Now adding established players by dipping into FA and the trade market.   Unfortunately another team the Wings have to deal with in the quest back to the playoffs.

buffalo too.  montreal making moves.  its going to be a real tough division for a while.

My guess is that Larkin re-signs shortly as well. But he's not doing that if the Red Wings go bargain basement hunting again. He probably wanted assurances that they would spend on real players.

Ottawa's 2021 draft was pretty questionable...

Would have preferred the RH Strome, but Copp works...  Need to add some LHD...if not via FA maybe a deal or two?
