I'm going to watch so much Rogle. ive seen a few games on espn+ last year. its a much different game on the bigger ice surface. you can see why some of them struggle to adjust to the nhl. its also slower. but still good. wallinder and kasper are at rogle, right? And Niederbach, think this is comprehensive of our guys in Sweden: Rogle BK, William Wallinder, LD Rogle BK, Theodor Niederbach, C/RW Rogle BK, Marco Kasper, C Frolunda HC, Liam Dower-Nilsson - C/LW Leksands IF J20, Anton Johansson, RD Orebro HK J20, Maximilian Kilpinen, C/LW Mora IK (Allsvenskan), Albin Grewe, W 1 Quote
buddha Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 i'm not so high on niederbach anymore. seems like a fourth line rotation player to me. kasper is looking pretty good... Quote
slothfacekilla Posted September 16, 2022 Author Posted September 16, 2022 Agreed I don't think Niederbach ever sees the NHL for a successful team. He was intriguing for a bit but I just don't see a NHL player. He's the anti-Kasper! Quote
slothfacekilla Posted September 16, 2022 Author Posted September 16, 2022 Game link for the game against Columbus (I heard they looked great yesterday) Gotta prepare myself for Art's voice, we'll see how long I leave audio on Quote
slothfacekilla Posted September 16, 2022 Author Posted September 16, 2022 Cossa with two really nice saves on that penalty kill Quote

Can't argue with any of this. I hate how deep Cossa plays in his crease sometimes too. I feel like the Wings were not very inspiring overall in that first period, some flashes of stuff but otherwise not much going on. Quote
buddha Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 i did think soderblum looked good. he's massive. a little slow, but he made a nice pass on what should have been a goal, and then had a nifty move in front of the net to get a shot that just went wide. if were lucky, he could end up being a super sized tomas holmstrom. Quote
slothfacekilla Posted September 16, 2022 Author Posted September 16, 2022 Thought Soderblom was going to hit his between the legs goal on the power play, exciting to see him doing it again. CBJ just look faster all around too. Cossa making some solid saves, maybe looking a little more comfortable. Edvinsson finally made a nice defensive play closing a guy off. Quote
buddha Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 much better in second period. edvinsson showed much better stuff. he was really moving the puck well on the power play. he had one play with three guys around him and he was able to flip it forward and exit the zone. good stuff from him. cross hanas with two really nice passes for both the second period goals. not so much from elmer but you can see he's got really good puck control. the skating isnt there but the puck control and the size are. cossa looked good in the half a period he was out there. the one real good chance cbus had, cossa was way out of position but it looked like he was able to reach back and get a piece of it. cbus's top line is still buzzing, but the wings were more in control. slothfacekilla Posted September 16, 2022 Author Posted September 16, 2022 Free agent invite Riley Piercey has a hat trick! Must be a huge thrill for him. Quote
slothfacekilla Posted September 16, 2022 Author Posted September 16, 2022 People really like taking runs at Soderblom, going to be interesting to see how he holds up. I think he's already learning that some of his puck possession moves are not going to translate to North America. Quote
buddha Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 wings win! piercy with 4 goals. edvinsson looked better as the game went on. elmer needs to work on his skating. didnt notice sebrango or viro all that much. hanas played really well. cossa was ad advertised: athletic, tall, and all over the place. lordstanley Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 (edited) So now that the world juniors is a few weeks past, any additional context to Edvinsson’s struggles there? Are people writing it off as small sample size or mostly due to food poisoning, or should I be tempering my enthusiasm on him a bit. Edited September 17, 2022 by lordstanley Quote

Shinzaki Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 FWIW..Bultman said Cossa played as well as he's seen him and Edvinsson played well...particularly on the PP. Gave him a B though because he's probably the top prospect in the tournament and as such he's holding him to a higher standard Quote
buddha Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 kasper starts the season as rogle's second line center. niederbach is a 4th line winger. wallinder is a top pair defenseman. dower-nielson starts as frolunda's 4th line winger. Quote
