kdog Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 (edited) Yankees and Angels have more than 60 homers...Tigers have 25. Tigers are 14th in OBP(AL), last in slugging, and last in homers. Cabrera is their best hitter....which is nice but really bad for the talent on roster. Edited May 27, 2022 by kdog Quote

Although we have to assume that there will be ups and downs for Greene, similar to TORK! Quote
RandyMarsh Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Atleast the Tigers are starting to pick up the pace a little hr wise. For awhile there they were on pace to hit less than Bonds and McGwire once hit themselves. Quote
kdog Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Offensive issues center around 4 main guys who aren't making contact, getting on-base, or slugging: Grossman Baez Candelario Schoop Meadows lack of homers pre-vertigo was bad but he was still producing other offense. Tork is a rookie. I like his approach and hopefully the rest will come. The pandemic has hurt all prospect development. He is not alone in his struggles. Barnhart is ok but below his career standards. CF without Greene has been brutal. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Somebody posted a stat on Twitter yesterday that the Tigers are 15-7 in games they score 3 plus runs and 1-21 when they don't, so maybe now we just need to ask before the game "wheres my 3 runs?" 1 Quote

I have tickets so was monitoring. Yesterday it looked like 80% chance throughout gametime. Now it's under 50 but also says "Scattered T Storms" so the thunder portion could be an issue. 1 Quote

Tiger337 Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 I loved this stat. Lou Whitaker is #7 in walkoffs since 1948. 1 Quote

FWIW, over the last two weeks, Schoop is slashing .250/.306/.477 for a wRC+ of 126, which places him in the 62nd percentile of all hitters since May 13. Quote
Jim Cowan Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Yes I think Schoop has returned from the dead and can be removed from the list of problem players. Quote

oblong Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 As soon as walked in we saw it on the scoreboard. Went up to my seats to see a friend who was sitting out on a table and they didn’t know. My third PPD this year. I have 3 afternoon games this homestand. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. it was barely raining. Just a mist. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 I am 11 miles (as the crow flies) from Comerica and it has barely rained here and looking at the radar loop it has barely rained over there. To me whomever made this call blew it. With the oddity of this year's schedule already, there isn't an excuse for this. Now, it might start pouring rain at 9pm, but I doubt it. Quote
