I wrecked every car I ever owned until I was about 30, off and on the streets. I shouldn't be here.

Jeez SB! I spun a couple back in the day but was always lucky. I never put a ding in that SS - to my parents everlasting surprise, and probably frustration. If I had it might have been their excuse to have me get rid of it!

I never raced but I did seriously practice maneuvres, on dirt, in parking lots, etc., and especially on snow. I think we make such a big mistake not teaching people to how to handle a car under a little more duress. It saved me more than once.

My first car was a 65 Buick Skylark. I put a standard transmission in it and ran the snot out of it until I had it about wore out and a skirmish with tree ended it. I had a really cool Mustang T-top and rolled it down a hill on a winding road having only owned it for two weeks. A Vega that went through a stop sign and a tee road that ended up 300 feet across some farmers yard into his bushes. The cops were really impressed with that one. One truck (S-10) got T-boned by a fireman who was running to a call and drove me into a 10 foot ditch, so that one wasn't my fault. Another pickup head on into a telephone pole (ice problem). That one should have done me in. Left front tire was under my seat. Hurt too.

I knew my insurance lady really really good.

Saw this blurb at the bottom of the wikipedia page for the movie

Which of those is the best?  Is that list missing any good chases?

shoot me but I loved the Bourne Identity car chases...

If you're into deep, thoughtful movies that display a lot of realism about life, watch A24's The Florida Project. It's really a sad, depressing tale about people living at the bottom and struggling to get by. It really showcases how far down and how low capitalism pushes people.

I tuned out of those films.  I don't know why.

Baby Driver is a fantastic movie for car chases.   That film is wonderful, actually.

All the Bourne movies premiered in Boise, Idaho, where I live because the producer’s wife is from Boise and was active in local theater for years before she married him. So they all premier here with all proceeds being a fundraiser for local theater.

For the fourth Bourne movie, which sucked, my son who was quite young and short at the time, ducked under a barricade and ran up to get a selfie with Matt Damon and Damon‘s people tried to stop him, but Damon was wonderful and let Mason take the picture with him.

I think the Ultimatum is one of the most exciting movies I’ve ever seen. I didn’t see the premiere at the local Egyptian theater, but I did see the film that week during its premier and I gasped so many times.

I started watching or rather re-watching the Godfather part two last night got halfway through and of course, since today is April 1, Paramount, which is where I was watching it has decided to switch it over to its Pluto TV with ads or Amazon will let you buy it for $16.99. this is happening all the time now movies that have been streaming on a streaming service forever often aren’t even going to one of these ad driven platforms, but you have to buy them or rent them.

Paramaount is a great app, especially for the price, but it is annoying that they list items available on Showtime.  But overall their content is pretty good.

Not unlike Prime.  "Here's what you can't watch unless you give us more money".

My son who’s 51 years younger than me and more in the mix of the world than I am has begged me to watch Seth Rogen‘s new Apple TV series The Studio and I’m glad I did.

My initial resistance is how I tire at Hollywood’s autofellatioism which assumes that they themselves are the naval of the universe and something we all must care about and be fascinated by. But I have to say that aside from being almost Larry David cringe in the second episode, it’s pretty great, fast moving, and hilarious.

Maybe this will work, but my hopes aren't high for this as a remake. The Naked Gun is the Naked Gun without Leslie Nielsen as Lieutenant Detective Frank Drebin. Nielsen is what made the Naked Gun work so well. This has always been one of my favorite scenes in the series.

I'm getting similar vibes as with the Fletch remake. Not bad..... but not the same.   Arguments over which was better is a matter of taste and expectations.  The movie was closer to the book in my opinion.

Well, I didn’t want to spoil it for you. I immediately figured out who probably had the reel, but was led astray so many times that in the end, I was really grateful that I was right all along and not disappointed for having foreseen it beforehand.

Fun show.  I find myself having a hard time believing these people would ascend this high in a studio with how they act but then I think back to the bosses I've had in the industry and I guess it tracks.

The higher the younger someone rises, the less adult-level maturity they adopt and display.

Ok, not sure if this is relevant or not, but since ya'll my peeps, I'm willing to share.

The best app for movies is legit "moviebox Pro". It's invite only but I can give one code per week if anyone's interested. It literally has everything from old movies, paramount +, netflix, hulu, Apple +. It is free but I pay the $25.00/year for the premium plan as it streams in 4k and smaller VIP files.

If you're looking for free TV: https://thetvapp.to/tv and https://usatvgo.live/

For MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA and NCAAFootball (not basketball) - Download the DofuSports App. It's now called DofuStream. It's free. When you click a link to watch something, an add pops up for 10 seconds, close the add then the rest of the program is add free. You can also stream from your phone to your firestick or smart TV for free then. I use it to watch UofM Football games and all the Lions games.

Happy to help if you need it. Just PM me.
