gehringer_2
Tigers 5-5 over their last 10. Has to be their best 10 in a while.

The only thing I can ding him on is he’s gotten only four strikeouts, but hey—can’t argue with those kinds of results. whoa, I guess I should look now, because I apparently haven't been paying attention. 3 minutes ago, RandyMarsh said: Only the 4th time all season and first in over 3 weeks that the Tigers scored 6 or more runs. that, on the other hand, surprises me not at all. though maybe I'm a little surprised that it's happened that many times. lordstanley
This is what the AL Central looked like after the Tigers’ 47th game last year.
mtutiger
The game on Saturday was such a stinker, it kinda feels out of place with how they have generally played in the last week or two. They seem like they are playing cleaner better baseball, hopefully it carries forward.

It’d be nice to see Soto bust right-handed hitters at 99+ up in Zone 1 every so often, except he’s got little enough command that the ball would go way up into Zone 11 and end up separating some guy’s jaw from the rest of his head. gehringer_2
Even though Brieske gave up 4 runs in 5 IP, which is pretty bad, he was throwing his breaking stuff for strikes occasionally. If he can keep doing that he might survive this baptism of fire they are putting him through.

SoCalTiger
Are we actually building some momentum ? Cautiuosly optimistic and anxious to see us when Baez hits, Greene and Meadows are back in the lineup and Tork has found his footing. We just might have a fun summer after all boys and girls. Maybe even a "wonderful summer in the neighborhood".."could we"..."should we".

Jim Cowan
I always enjoyed following Mike Hessman. By reputation he was a solid defender at third and of course he had that tremendous power. 180 K's yes, and a lot of years in the minors with an OBP of under .300, but I always thought that the glove and the power should have gotten him a longer look somewhere. Four hundred and sixty-two professional home runs in the majors, minors and overseas. Only 14 of those in the majors. Very strange ratio. I wonder who the active minor league home run leader is?
