Motor City Sonics Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 So based on last year's final ranking before the bowls, the 12 team playoff would have been......... (12) Ptt @ (5) Notre Dame (11) Utah @ (6) Ohio State (10) Michigan State @ (7) Baylor (9) Ok State @ (8) Ole Miss Second Round vs. (1) Alabama vs. (2) Michigan vs. (3) Georgia vs. (4) Cincinnati Do they re-seed in the second round ? If they re-seeded it could have been Pitt over Notre Dame, Ohio State over Utah, Michigan State over Baylor and Ole Miss over OK State that would have meant (12) Pitt vs. (1) Alabama (10) Michigan State vs. (2) Michigan.............could you imagine? (9) Ole Miss vs. Georgia (6) Ohio State vs. (4) Cincinnati Wow, what a weekend that could have been. I still think there should be a 4 or 8 team playoff for the Group of Five teams that don't make the playoffs. Quote
sabretooth Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Turned on ESPN College GameDay for the first time in a few years for about 5 minutes.....unwatchable. Corso is a corpse, and there's some bearded stoner in the middle who looks bored and has nothing to say when he's asked....wow. Quote
Deleterious Posted September 3, 2022 Author Posted September 3, 2022 Iowa beat South Dakota St. 7-3. Iowa had a FG and two safeties. Quote

buddha Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 i texted my ucla fan friend that iowa score and told him "welcome to the big ten." he told me south dakota was actually pretty good. so i see ucla is already fitting right in, making excuses for poor ooc games. 2 Quote
buddha Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 so....georgia and alabama and everyone else? lets see how ohio state looks tonight. Quote
Deleterious Posted September 3, 2022 Author Posted September 3, 2022 Big Ten might stop scheduling schools from the Dakotas. North Dakota tied 7-7 at halftime with Nebraska. Quote

buddha Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 notre dame +17 is looking pretty good right now. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Gotta admit I'm shocked ND is not only in this game at halftime but actually winning it. I thought for sure that they were going to do what they seemingly always do when the play a high profile game against a really good team and that's get steamrolled. Quote

buddha Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 ohio state has a ton more talent than notre dame and notre dame has no qb and they're very close to beating them. as a 17 point dog. Quote

An Ohio State team with no head coach could have done what he’s done the last two years. Here’s hoping it finally catches up to him. Quote

buddha Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 buddha's bets of the day: north dakota +28.5 florida +2.5 baylor -42 notre dame +17 looking like 3 hits and then hoping ND can hold on. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Watched some of the Florida/Utah game and what I watched I came away impressed with Anthony Richardson. Obviously has plenty of mobility but he also made some NFL type throws standing in the pocket and on the move. I hope he ends up being legit cause that could be another QB that the Lions may have a shot at. Quote
