Well, and there’s something I hate about our sports culture.  Georgia could smoke someone in a playoff game and the team that loses will declared as “sucks”.  Sucks?  They’re the #4 team in the nation and will be declared as “sucks” if they lose decisively.  They’ll have the 4th best resume (and I understand there is sometimes debate on this, just set it aside for now) and have the misfortune of one bad game and then be discarded as some 4th best team in the MAC West.  Makes no sense.

That's the funny thing. If you set up a competition where the best best team is too likely to win, you won't have a league that is very much fun because the outcomes will be too predictable. You don't want team sports where there is no doubt in the outcome of the games or teams are able to have the kind of dominance that Serena Williams did when she was clearly the best player and just beat everyone. So most team games have evovled so that they have lots of random noise events that help obscure true talent differences from always controlling the score. (there is a reason footballs are funny shaped!). But the world still has a need to treat the winners as if they are more than just a pretty good team that had the best luck that season - which is all most teams  can prove. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If Tennessee gets a blowout win,  it could be

1- Georgia

2- Ohio State

3 - TCU

4 - Tennessee

5 - Michigan

but it really doesn't matter where they are ranked Tuesday............Win and You're In

What, you really think Georgia, Ohio St and TCU did much more than Michigan this week? Kentucky, Illinois, Baylor and Maryland are all around the same level of mediocrity. The top 4, who all struggled, will stay the same.

The voters are fickle and Michigan has had such a weak schedule this year.  MSU losing to Indy at home didn't help things.    Doesn't matter though.

would you stop?  tcu barely holds on to beat a bad baylor team and you have them jumping michigan and you have tennessee with one loss jumping an undefeated michigan.

why wouldnt a one loss tennessee top a tcu team that has barely won half its games?

Down goes North Carolina.

And everyone's darling Tennessee, has given up 35 1st half points to 4-loss South Carolina.

I tell you, if Tennessee loses and UCLA beats USC, then both Michigan and Ohio State have one foot in the playoff.  Unless LSU beats Georgia, which isn't going to happen. Would be a stretch to put in Clemson over the Michigan-OSU loser; they have a blowout loss to Notre Dame and no one in the ACC is any good

The fact that I’m not taking shit tells you what i think of USC chances.  Caleb is incredible.  The defense is not.

This team is a year away but who knows maybe he can find a way to do it himself.  He’s that good.

do you know how easy the big ten west is going to be for you?
