Anyone else watching the broadcast from out of town on MLB.tv? The source where they clobber you with the same commercial repeatedly?

not watching today, but usually I get a lot of Driveway ads when I do. that seems to be the one commercial I don't mind. probably because of the cats.

So we have to carry Barnhart and let a home run hitter sit on the bench. And we're not scoring runs or hitting homers. Got it....pure logic.

Hold on...Eric Haase hit 22 homers last year. His MLB track record before and after 2021 says it's not repeatable. Haase has done nothing offensively this year. He's not a good defender in either LF or at catcher. Are you arguing we should play him more? That's galaxy brain stuff.

They have given Haase plenty of opportunities this season, he has 5 XBH in 85+ at-bats.

I hate hate hate the music playing underneath the customers giving the testimonials. It’s this creepy-sounding vibrato keyboard thing that serves only to distract.

I think I figured out exactly why I hate it: it starts out like Clair de Lune, which causes the song to go in that direction in my head, and then it goes in some other direction, and I become very unhappy.

The moment I see the commercial start, I go “LALALALA!” very loudly until I can locate the remote and press the mute button.

It’s the same as the Draft Kings commercial: the moment I hear the generic studio rock guitars blare out, I race to mute it before the ugly blonde can come on to tell me how I can Make. It. Rain.

Absolutely kills me that they can't get any variation in the ads when you stream.

the home runs are the big fluke. Plus he will be 33 by the end of the season. He won't be part of a contending Tigers team based on our trajectory. I'm looking for guys who will be here in a few years.

Yeah I definitely agree there's no reason to keep trotting him out there going forward.

Reyes may be a replacement level player, but he sure seems to be in the middle of things a lot for guy with his talent level.

Replacement level makes him one of their better hitters lol

at least the NetSuite ads seem to have fallen out of the radio rotation. they seem to have been approximately replaced by HomeTap ads.

Precisely, I joked the other day that Reyes will look like Willie Mays compared to some of the guys we've been throwing out there. Offensively and defensively.
