mtutiger Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 (edited) Tarik was due for a bad day, but it's the fact that there's little reason for hope that the offense can claw back much of any of the deficit that bothers me Edited June 12, 2022 by mtutiger 1 Quote

kdog Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Reyes isn’t a center fielder and meadows is a horrendous defender. Years into the rebuild victor reyes and Harold castro are pillars of our offense. Quote
Dtrain72 Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Skubal due to pull out the gascan, but with this laoded stinker offense, it wont matter. Quote

kdog Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 The Tigers are in the midst of a seven-game homer drought. Longest since 2001. An 8-game drought would be the longest streak since 1989 (10 games). -Hackosky Quote

kdog Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Individual hitters like schoop and Baez string together a few good games. Then they revert back to horrendous approach and execution for a week. I guess the same applies to tork, meadows, grossman, and the catching black hole. You cant fire all the players at once. Quote
chasfh Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Anyone here charmed and delighted by watching the TIgers TV crew being served and then eating ballpark food during the telecast? 1 Quote

Dan and Jim don’t seem to have any problems talking about baseball during the game. So you like seeing that kind of thing? Edited June 12, 2022 by chasfh Quote
mtutiger Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Baez wasn't rewarded there, but it's a lot easier to get hittable pitches when you aren't constantly chasing bad pitches out of the zone Quote
kdog Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Incremental improvement from Baez the last two days. But we haven’t seen these guys sustain it at all. Quote
Tigerbomb13 Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Another good AB for Javy. If he can be patient like this, he will be fine. Quote

It appears to me that his approach is different. Almost like he's picking a quadrant of the plate and not swinging if a pitch is outside or something Quote
Nerb Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Can we please have Riley Greene in CF now? Please? 1 Quote
Dtrain72 Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Or maybe Javy simply figured out that he shouldnt swing at anything until he has two strikes, which most pitchers wont do as they know he'll swing at even intentional walk pitches 6 feet outside these days. It's almost like, not always swinging at everything will like, maybe, make pitchers eventually start to throw pitches in the zone that are hittable...it's just crazy enough that it might work? Quote
