tiger2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 (edited) If people on a message board can figure it out, I am pretty sure Torkelson should be able to figure it out too. I am not defending Coolbaugh because I have no idea what he does, but you really think this roster would be mashing on a nightly basis with a different hitting coach? buddha Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 i dont get to see that many tigers games anymore, but i can say that i dont think we'll see too many stories about miggy being in the best shape of his career. Quote
tiger2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Miguel still one of the smartest hitters in MLB history Quote

Last season we did see Baddoo make adjustments when pitchers shifted their approach on him - could be Torkelson is just stubborn, in which case a trip to the minors can be an appropriate tool. Quote

He fouled off the two on the inside, but when Sousa left one on the outside he tagged it. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 (edited) decent AB for Tork there, but not quite barreled. But Sousa didn't try to work him outside....(or tried and failed) Edited June 14, 2022 by gehringer_2 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Fulmer doing well with that shorter slider. He doesn't seem to yank it as often as the big breaker. Quote
tiger2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Best at bat of the night for him for sure. It looked like Sousa was trying to go outside and just either missed too far over the plate or challenged him on the fly out. Quote

If Coolbaugh sees something, and Tork won't listen, then get rid of Coolbaugh he isn't persuasive enough. Maybe he should ask Miggy for advice, he always used the whole field. Quote

I will say that in that previous AB, Eddings didn't do him any favors calling a ball two ball widths off a strike. But he's still gotta cover the outside better Quote

romad1 Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Tork reminds me of Jacoby Jones without the speed. Quote
mtutiger Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Doesn't matter how good or bad they are at any given time, White Sox always seem to get a leadoff hit Quote
