casimir Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 Hmmmm.... Maybe the hitters need more steroids and mullets? Maybe that's the cure? Quote
davidsb623 Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 JuanGone sure was an elite player before joining Detroit. Quote
sabretooth Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 I am getting really tired of all of our Detroit sports teams sucking forever. Its been a long time since we could expect or reasonably hope for one or (forbid!) two of our teams to be a contender. 2 Quote

It's not like I'm not helping the team, but I'm here to help the team and the organization. Today, I felt like I wanted to work on my swing. That's what I did." https://www.freep.com/story/sports/mlb/tigers/2022/06/15/detroit-tigers-postgame-meeting-yields-few-solutions-offense/7640547001/ Quote
RandyMarsh Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 Yeah I'm beating a dead horse and it's not news that our offense is terrible but here's just a nice clean visual of just how bad. 1 Quote
mtutiger Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 Erie is the MILB free game... thinking about availing myself of that one instead lol Quote

RandyMarsh Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 Out of the 156 qualified hitters 147 of them have a better RC+ than our team and out of the 9 that don't 4 of them are Tigers including the bottom 3. So there's essentially 5 everyday players throughout the entire league that are worse with the bat than our team has been. Quote

RandyMarsh Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 In the top of the first the Tigers got a 3-1 count and swung and missed on an offspeed pitch, then got a 2-0 count and preceded to hit a weak groundball on an offspeed pitch below the zone. I don't have the stats but it feels like this is a common occurrence with them, when they do get ahead in the count the opposing team doesn't even bother throwing a FB for a strike cause they know they will jump on a bad pitch. buddha Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 i'm really stunned that coolbaugh hasnt been fired yet. just as a sacrifical lamb. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 Whoa a Riley Greene sighting on a Tigers telecast.....too bad it's for a Car Shield commercial and not him on the field. Quote
Nerb Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 Tork's body language after that strikeout. Yikes. That was like a cry for help haha. It really is time to send him down, I think. Quote

Not sure who it was, but the idea that the Mud Hens leave Riley in Woostah and let him join the team in Boston had better be right. He's close enough Quote

Maybe they have already pulled the plug and are playing for another high pick. Hard to understand the lack of action on any other rational grounds. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 So as per CMo, Coolbaugh has them trying to be aggressive only on pitches in two of seven specific regions of the zone? The futility at the plate seems suddenly perfectly understandable. 1 Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 Didn't even check the score until the 4th inning. Does that seem checked out? Quote
