I know it's not ruined.

If a person goes there looking for their Conservative Inc. views to be validated they will get that validation.  I mean, white people, asian people of all varieties, negroes all working together... and the gays!

i really hope RFK JR pulls more from Trump than Biden.   I want that strategy to be a self-inflicted wound on those scheming bastards who cooked it up.

I can't imagine he won't. RFKJ is a lot more like Trump—and has more appeal to people who believe Trump is, at minimum, conventional and normal—than he is like centrist Democrats such as Biden or Harris.

When I was in San Francisco, it was certainly an eclectic mix of people. There were street performers all over. Jugglers, mimes, musicians, and magicians. I can see how it would be scary to white conservatives.  The people were very expressive.

Tech bro libertarianism is a thing out there in some pockets as well.  Those people who have money and the broken brain to think they can reorder society on grounds favorable to them are dangerous.

They'd flip back the same reason some potential Hillary voters flipped when the Comey Letter came out in October 2016. Harris, for better or worse right now, is still largely a blank slate to the average voter. There is a race to define her to undecided and swing voters...

Some of these swing voters flipped back to Trump, went third party, or left the top blank in 2016 in part because the Crooked Hillary narrative stuck and the Comey Letter was the last minute icing on the cake...

I think these are two different sets of voters though:

The undecideds that are now swinging to Harris are NOT the voters that swung to Trump in 2016.

The 2016 voters hated Hillary to begin with, were upset with the "status quo" or were looking for a "drastic change candidate" (which would have been Trump or Bernie Sanders in 2016), and were midwestern Blue Collars for the most part.

These are NOT the 2024 undecideds. 2024 Undecideds are Dem liberals and/or Dem youngsters that didn't want Biden. But DO want Harris.

You aren't shaking these voters loose from supporting Harris.

Trump's only (current) hope is to try to convince independents and suburban moms to FEAR POC more than they fear fascism.

IMO.

And I don't believe that will work, either. No matter what he or the GOP come up with to try and slam Harris. Mostly because they have zero vision for the future of America except Fascism, Violence, The Handmaid's Tale, and Tax Cuts for the Top 1% (and **** the Middle Class). Not an enticing future... methinks.

I believe in Florida referendums need 60% to pass. It may be a close call on getting 60%.

Yeah will be interesting to see who crawls out of the woodwork for the skunk weed

Is there a threshold where if Harris does too well then that is just OBVIOUS that the election was rigged and the votes are "AI".

I think it's easier to push the rigged election narrative in a close race.  Some people will fall for it regardless, but I think most people would be quiet if it's a landslide.

What part of Michigan is really in the Toledo market? Isn’t Monroe in the Detroit market or both?

Off the top of my head the reach of TV into Michigan from Toledo would venture into Monroe and Lenawee Counties, maybe Hillsdale. Not sure how many Michigan eyeballs that might entail. If I was selling ads I'd definitely look into businesses in those area.

Harris picks up support among young voters and ‘double haters’

West Long Branch, NJ – Democrats’ enthusiasm has skyrocketed since they swapped their presidential nominee. The latest national Monmouth (“Mon-muth”) University Poll finds voter support for Vice President Kamala Harris slightly higher than it was for President Joe Biden, while the number who back former President Donald Trump has remained steady. Harris has higher favorability ratings than either Trump or Biden, which means there has been in a decline in the number of double haters, that is voters who dislike both nominees. Harris also has a clear advantage over Trump in being seen as having the necessary stamina for the job and matches or slightly edges her Republican opponent on understanding people’s concerns, representing American values, and bringing about change.

Biden beat Trump by what? 7 million? 8 million? votes? And the Orange Cheeto still organized a coup. I don’t think there's any number of votes he can lose by that he'll accept. The only difference is he's not in office now so if he tries that crap now, arrest his sorry ass.

All the more reason to expand the map to Florida and take a peek at Texas.

Worth mentioning that Harris +19 is still running a little behind Biden 2020, but much better shape now. Still room for improvement.

Hillsdale is also Toledo media market; Monroe isn't, although the southern portion of the county probably has access to TV stations. Granted, Hillsdale is significantly more red than Lenawee or Monroe so probably less of an effect there.

Either way, people would be surprised, but margins can actually swing in border counties based on TV Market Advertising... probably less so with a Presidential election than a Governors race or a primary, but it isn't insignificant either if you're trying to reach every single voter.

I didn't see it listed, but South Bend media market would be another one that's probably worth throwing a few dollars at even though it's in Indiana.... decent population base along the border in those counties as well
