Trump on Thursday, when talking about giving GOP donor Miriam Adelson the Medal of Freedom, the nation’s top civilian honor, said it is “actually, much better” than the Medal of Honor “because everyone (who) gets the congressional medal of honor, that’s soldiers. They’re either in very bad shape because they’ve been hit so many times by bullets, or they’re dead.”

 

That's the actual quote.   If you think the idea is offensive, the quote makes it much worse.     Someone doesn't deserve an honor because they died in the service of there country - or that honor is diminished because they died?    Oh, **** YOU, you bloviating gas bag.

Well, so was he is confusing the Purple Heart with the Medal of Honor as you can definitely get the Medal of Honor without being wounded or killed (although that is common too). The fact that a former POTUS and a guy that claims he should be POTUS doesn't even know the difference between the Purple Heart and Medal of Honor is abhorrent alone.  The next thing is why are you even comparing the two?  

That said, I'm not going to lie, while I would be so proud to be a Medal of Honor recipient, I'd probably pass it up for Medal of Freedom if the sole reason for it was that I was so stupid rich that just by donating a fraction of it someone felt I deserved it.

The minister of the church Trump's family attended was Norman Vincent Peale. Peale was the author of the book The Power of Positive Thinking. He was also one of the early national radio and TV evangelists along with Billy Graham, Oral Robert's, Fulton Sheen, etc.

What Trump learned from Peale was "believe in yourself" which I believe Trump translated to Me First. That is his true faith, The Church of Trump.
