How do the networks even find these undecided people? I want to pretend to be undecided so I can be on one of these panels. As a middle aged white male from Macomb County Michigan, the networks should be fighting to have me on their panel. I’m concerned about Haitians and transgender even though I don’t think I’ve ever crossed paths with either. I’m also very concerned with a border 2,000 miles away.

This. There are a lot of people who just want to get on the TeeVee. What's an easier con than to tell a network canvasser that you are undecided.

Dropped my ballot off at the county voting center today. I don't trust Lovejoy's (a Trump appointee) Postal Service. Especially since Richmond has been rated one of the worst regions for mail delivery thanks to changes in the sorting system. They admit letting some mail set for extended lengths of time.

But what I was really struck by was the parties poll workers outside the building. The Democrats had two very friendly little old ladies. The Party of Benedict Trump had two older gentlemen who looked like they'd rather be at the local McDonalds arguing about the Commanders,

I would have fact checked Vance on Trump saving Obamacare. It was John McCain. That fact would really make Trumpublicans heads explode

I was yelling loudly at the TV when Vance said that BS. I was screaming to Walz that he better hit back at that nonsense and he did.

The latest from JVL. Vance changes personas more often than Trump changes diapers (my words)

Quote

Last night JD Vance, late of cat-lady and pet-eating fame, slid into a normie skinsuit.

It worked great. Vance was charming and deft. He won nearly every interaction, owned nearly every question. He parried and pivoted with the skill of a Clinton.

This was the fourth version of JD Vance to appear in public life.

Vance 1.0 was a memoirist and Hillbilly whisperer.

Vance 2.0 was a Never Trump pundit.

Vance 3.0 was a MAGA edgelord.

Vance 4.0 is something like a cross between 2010 Elizabeth Warren and 2016 Marco Rubio, with some light nativism sprinkled in.

A reminder: Vance just turned 40. Even Sohrab Ahmari must be impressed with the pace of the JDos update cycle.

I live in a Canadian asylum but I will be coming to a town near you. I want to get into one of those fancy American asylums.

I have one a few miles from me. The former home of John Hinkley. Last I checked he was an American. No word of Haitians living there.

Give it up, NYT. Conservatives will never love you. They remember what side you were on during Civil Rights and Jim Crow and they will never forgive you for it.

oh well...sorry about all that stuff at the Capitol.

Liberal MSM newspapers really are in a bind because the young are always the future of liberalism, but Newspapers, even the online versions, don't really resonate to any of the cohorts behind the boomers. So the business management side - in this case even old money ownership like Sulzberger, is trying to triangulate to a wider political spectrum. But I don't see how it can help them. 1st because any conservative readers they pick up will be as old or older than the readership that is already too old, and 2nd because sympathy to today's conservative movement is simply incompatible to any organization that thinks its mandate is honest journalism (read as: reporting on the world truthfully).
