The battle has turned thanks to the new munitions.

Well NK is coming!

joking aside, the country has been seriously damaged and dealt significant loss. If not one more Ukrainian dies and they regain the East and Crimes, only then would that possibly considered a win.

For the US it’s been great though, humiliate Russia via a proxy is priceless.

The other old guy will be planning a national emergency on day one if elected.

These are the two choices we have.  How many people in this country, and these are the two choices we have for the presidency?

So sad I missed the part where two doddering old fools were **** waving about their golf games.

And the middle paragraph is the most important issue this election.  The first debate was a poor SNL skit.  Neither candidate might make it through the next term.  But allowing Trump any time at all back in the chair is a plea for chaos and destruction by someone who has no concern for anything but himself.

The Arizona panel is killing Biden and Trump.  I think they are where most people are.

Biden's performance was horrific, no getting around it. But it seems like more non-politicial follows on Twitter + friends on Facebook commenting about debate seem to be more focused on the overall "these are our choices" theme, which doesn't exactly reflect well on Trump or his performance either.

Biden will bear the brunt of the media coverage though, and not totally without reason. This debate was supposed to assuage fears, not further inflame them. And if they did it, it would take some time, but they would need to orchestrate some sort of dignified off-ramp to Kamala (who, again, is really the only option at this point)

Or FDR in his 4th.  I think the key consideration there is that FDR was within 6months of his own death when he was elected.

When Truman was selected as VP by the backroom they knew they were picking the next President.  It's one of the many parallels he shares with Gerald Ford.  Neither wanted the job and were picked as VP due to their non threatening nature and the fact they would be acceptable as the next POTUS to everyone in the party, and across the aisle in Ford's case.
