Yeah, That is probably the best chance of beating him - that people are just tired of him.  It is possible that some people who voted for him last time have lost interest even if they don't see through him.  So many vote on emotion.

I don't think it's particularly new either... I remember saying this stuff back in November and December of last year when he started pulling ahead of Biden...

Just think that Biden's own unpopularity and concerns about his age kinda buried this notion that people were wore out by this stuff. Even now, it doesn't look like 2020 out there in terms of regalia flying or hat wearing

Lurking out there is Desantis revenge.

This is true of Brian Kemp fwiw.

He's going through the motions, standing by Trump, but the reality is that he has little reason to want Trump to win, at least as a practical political matter.

I mentioned this to a couple friends at work, whenever one of the insufferable MAGAs starts talking about guys in girls bathrooms or the high cost of eggs.  Just drop this small mind dagger on them.  Perhaps in concern troll fashion: "Ya know, Trump can't win without Florida and he was really mean to Desantis...so....".

Then just let their small minds spin around the conspiranoia of how tough Trump was to Desantis and how Desantis because he is a governor has the power (in their minds) to switch votes as he feels like.

The delicious pain they will feel will be short-lived because very quickly after this they will be fed some awesome propaganda about how Trump kills baby seals to give him strength and he's really ripped and shredded under the fat suit he wears.

And the frosting on that cake is that weed and abortion are on the Florida ballot.

We were in Florida twice within the last month and could not figure out the weed situation there.  We saw the places.  I assume a card was required.  But then we saw a place that said "No card required".  We weren't looking to partake, just curious on the rules because I remembered hearing it was on the ballot this November.

Not unexpected but good to see

The mobbed up Vegas casino owners will still shower money on Trump.

They’re obviously AI paid actors giving fake news endorsements.

Do they require a card for abortions?

FLA is at the 'medical marijuana' stage - your get the card based on a diagnosis that you have something MJ is approved for. Maybe a place advertising 'no card required' has a real-time MD connection for approvals?

I wonder if B Clinton still has it in him to do the kind of policy primer speech he once could. Otherwise I would have buried the Clintons, but that's just me.

Me too.... (you see what I did there?)

But maybe they want to contrast having former POTUS and candidates on board.   On the GOP side they are in hiding from today's GOP.

Bill Clinton was a popular president. Of course they are going to have the former president.

Hillary Clinton also got 3 million more votes than Trump. She did well with blacks and Hispanics.

Obama knifed Biden in the back and forced him out. Of anyone should be buried, it should be Obama.

One idea would be to have the ex-Presidents on a video discuss what they thought about the position and its responsibilities.  Then have them intersplice Trump's most ridiculous norm-breaking acts.  So maybe showing each president laying wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, then have John Kelly looking into the camera describing the notification of a parent like himself when a soldier dies, then have others describe how Trump didn't want to see wounded warriors or travel to the military cemeteries, then have the footage of the ex-presidents at McCain's funeral, then have the ex-presidents sitting on a porch talking about that sacred duty.  Then end with John Kelly saying "My son wasn't a sucker"

But, that's just one idea.

Maybe it's a passing of the torch thing?
