I was just talking with a friend and we thought Hakeem is a lock for Speaker, but his oratorical style lacks something. He seems robotic to me, with limited vocal range and relatively fixed facial expressions.

I don't have a lot of expertise in evaluating those aspects of delivering a speech.   I've seen several times where he has had great alliteration and he can increase emotion.

Did you feel those opinions on the speech he just gave?

He does use a preacher’s cadence, but it feels mailed-in to me. Not that it matters much since he’s going to be named Speaker either way.
