Just a fashion note. Lol. I’m not crazy about her black suit and black shirt. She’s got this really awesome blue suit. I’ve seen her wear. That looks like a better color for her. Yes black is serious, but she should’ve gone with the blue.

One thing that is so striking about where we are, eight years into Trump era, is how much the GOP has ceded patriotism to the Democrats. 

The politics are more on the center left, but rhetoric and imagery of this convention could have easily been seen in a different era at a GOP Convention. Of course, the GOP will go through the motions, throw around terms like "socialism" and even "communism", but it's never looked so much like a non-sequitur than it does now.

Harris's speech was brilliant.  I really was not expecting it to be so good. I got nervous the first minute or two because she sounded a little flakey, but after that she took off.  She showed strength and normalcy, there was no sign of any radicalism and she hit all the right points.  She nailed it.  You know I don't like politics the way most of you do. I am generally skeptical even of the Democrats, but I've heard some great speeches the last few nights.  I feel a lot better now than I did a few weeks ago.

I watched most of the speeches last night which meant I was starting to glaze over at all the soaring and swooping rhetoric.  I think Big Gretch was good but not awesome.  She did her job.   The best of those not doing something overtly emotive like the gun violence survivors/advocates (inc. Giffords) was Adam Kinzinger.  He nailed his job.  Mark Kelly you could tell was not on the ticket for a reason after that speech.   

Kamela came on stage at that place when I was so tired that i had started blacking out.  She seemed excellent.  I forced myself to watch to the end.  If she missed a note, I don't recall it.

I don't understand how people think he's tough.   He's the whiniest bitch to ever run for anything.   He's a self parody.   I am hoping she just trounces him and humiliates him.    The most insecure man in the country.   He's such a weakling, he's such a wimp.     I hope he loses and flees the country.   Please go to Venezuela - take Elon and your followers with you.  It could be the new Jonestown.  You can make all these utopian promises and then leave your people with nothing, like you always do.     Send lawyers, guns and money.........blah blah blah.     Warren Zevon for the win.
