Why does everyone act like anything Trump does is good? He looked like a clown.

He has never done anything good in his life.

I can usually find something good to say about everybody even if it's something minor.  For Trump. I've got nothing.

In all seriousness, I blame The Apprentice. He should have had a show called something along the lines of "4 Bankruptcies and Counting." I'm too lazy to look up the exact number right now.

Six.

One type of voter I am worried about is right-wing mail-in voters.  Trump told them not to do that last time which probably explains a large portion of the mail-in advantage for Democrats.  How many right-wingers who didn't vote at all in 2020 will now vote by mail because Trump is not discouraging it this time?

That worries me less in terms of turnout but it also makes me question any judgements people are making about early voting results.   But I think someone who figures out how to work the logistics of mail jn voting probably already was a regular voter so he’s not pulling in a net increase.  You have to go thru some hoops and I don’t see a non election day voter suddenly voting by mail.  It’s more convenient and takes care of last minute issues but I don’t think it’s easier if you are already registered.

I don't actually know if this is just an Ann Arbor city clerk thing or county wide or what, but as long as I use my absentee ballot, I'm going to get one automatically for whatever the next election is. That likely won't make a huge difference in a presidential year, but it seems to me it could potentially make a large difference in off-year and primary turnouts if that ballot just shows up for an election a person might have otherwise not given a lot of though to voting in.

I don’t remember if how we voted in ‘20 was absentee. We put it in a drop box. I didn’t get anything sent to me.  We do early voting in our city now so that’s what it will be for me. I’m already in that building 4 tomes a week anyway. That way I can save my electikn day off not worrying about voting.  I know I should do a civic duty and work the polls since my company gives me a day off and everyone I see there is 90. $100 can’t hurt.

All cities and townships in Michigan have what's called the Permanent Absentee Voter List that you as a voter can sign up for. If you check a box on your absentee ballot application form (not the ballot itself, just the application form) to be enrolled in the Permanent AV List then your local clerk's office will just mail you out the ballot for each and every election. That saves you from having to request your absentee ballot each and every time there is an election.

So to make it easy for yourself and everyone in your house, simply check the box on your absentee ballot request form next time that says you want to be enrolled on the Permanent AV List.

speaking of security cameras.... what's everyone's choice on that?  We don't have one and I feel like the only people in the world who do not.

We're on the permanent mailing list in Virginia. I started early voting in Michigan when it was approved for those qualifying as senior citizens, I think that put me on the mailing list until we moved.

There was a ballot sent to the Michigan address in 2020, my wife called the registrar's office (she was still working in Michigan part of the time) and had my name removed from the list.

Screw the fry machine. Let him try some real work, something like the evening closing crew. Make it look real like have a high school football team show up ten minutes before closing. Then he and the rest of the "fast food workers don't deserve more than minimum wage" folks find out what real work is.

This. Closing a restaurant at the end of the day is the hardest work I've ever done-and at the end of a shift at a coffee shop I could have stuck my arm in water and gotten a decent brew.

At least the job I work now pays well and is fairly stable. My body's still complaining more often than not.

we had a manager would get on the floor and check under things.  Everything had to be cleaned spotless and put away.  Nothing, not even an apron or towel could be just sitting around. The floors would get flour caked on to them and you couldn't mop or scrub.  we had to spray them every night.  We'd go home soaked.  One person sprayed and another squeegeed. It was a seniority thing.

It was hard work but was also the most fun I ever had at a job.  We were all friends with no responsibilities and would party at work, afer work.... We'd get ahead of the work we had to do and would sit outside with our friends who were not working but "just driving by".... it was like American Graffiti.

Marshall Mathers is becoming a citizen.  Like Snoop did.  It’s an interesting phenomenon where these deeply counter-cultural types become dads and grandads and realize society needs glue not solvent.

Mick Jagger being fascinated by the world of British Intelligence is another example.

We definitely had fun-even though we were broke we'd either pool our money together or find free stuff to do. I can't imagine doing that work, and living on $6 an hour now.

I think in snoop's case, it's business.  He became "lovable".  Ice-T doing car warranty commercials.  In Eminem's case I chalk it up to sobriety and getting clean.  I also think staying home kept him grounded.

It’s ironic when the white rapper supports Harris and a lot of the black ones support Trump.

What black rappers support Trump besides a bi-polar, delusional rapper with brain health issues in Kanye West?
