I'm on your side Cecil.  Just not so fanatic.

It isn’t fanaticism. It’s just both sides bull****. Under Biden black unemployment is at record lows, billions have been invested in HBCUs, insulin has been capped on seniors, and record investment in infrastructure in black communities has been made. Both parties aren’t the same.

The motivations of black voters is rich and complex, but one thing I’m pretty confident of is that they have no interest in voting just to blow up the system, as too many white voters would like. Black people know they need a strong government to protect them from the freewheeling, unchecked racial apartheid and vigilantism that characterized the first 350 years of white rule on this continent.

In general, you would expect that erosion to show up in other actual elections as well. Latinos are different because there has been a pattern of small erosion with that group in non-Presidential elections - Trump will likely make incremental gains with them this time as well (another problem that needs to be fixed long term by Ds).

We just aren't seeing that with black voters to any large degree, and with pollsters in particular, we have seen a number of examples (2022 GA Senate, 2023 MS Governor) of crosstabs being wildly off once the votes have been cast.

The majority of white women voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020 and will do so again.

All the white women I know - whether it is a teenager voting for the first time or someone in her 80's who has voted since the 1960's - they are all voting for Trump.

The younger ones are the scariest and most fanatical about Trump.

The older ones just like that Trump hates the people they hate.

You really need to find better friends. Most of the older folks I know are voting Harris

Again, we have another quasi-credible person spouting the whole there is a "big story" or "damaging story" that is about to drop on Trump.

Wanna have some fun with it? What do we think such a story could be? I'll start:

Trump is caught on video saying "I can't believe I'm losing to that [f-word]ing [n-word] [c-word]!"

With a blue checkmark. Probably has some bills to pay.

I know that comparing 2022 data to this election is a perfect 1-1 comparison. But when you look at exit polling data from 2022 here in Michigan, white women actually voted majority Democrat and supported Gretchen Whitmer over her opponent. Granted, Tudor Dixon was a much weaker, less well funded opponent than Trump. The economy and inflation though were in worse shape in 2022 than it is now.

The Washington Post made it official.... overall editorials aren't really meaningful that much anymore, I get that, but the way they spiked this led me to cancel my subscription. Just not going to contribute to that.

this is where we are headed, because GOP does not pay a price for their fascism - but are rewarded for it

This guy will probably become a MAGA star. We are doomed.

"We all know who really won, so it would be wrong not to award electors to Trump."
