Because he wants to flip the 2020 experience back on the Democrats, the experience of leading early on election night and then he comes back and "steals" the election once the early votes are counted in. I think it's that base level of revenge he's looking for.

The only fly in this ointment of a scenario is that, if Trump dies in a state of grace with the base, he dies a martyr, he becomes a saint to the movement, and the charlatans who were in his inner circle at any point will jockey for power to become the new leaders of that movement, and it might work because anyone who was close to Trump would be akin to being an apostle. I don’t worry about that as much as I do just him winning outright. If she prevails I think we will see whining but nothing concrete. There will be no Jan 6 type insurrection.  There will be protest votes and speeches, like we saw in 2017 but they will go nowhere.

I think if Trump wins, he is going to **** things up so bad with no reasonable people like Kelly, Mattis, etc to keep him under control.  It's going to be a miserable four years and then the Democrats will crush the Republicans across the board in 28.  Obviously, I'd rather not go through that though!

IDK, I thought the Dems would crush the Repubs after Trump had ****ed it up for 4 yrs. All they did was dent them a little.

Stupid rhetoric and not justified by the actual economics. The budget can be controlled without any where near that kind of Sturm and Drang. We are talking single digit percentages of GDP that have to be shifted.
