LaceyLou
Yeah, if you're going to make something up about a rally you should at least wait until the rally has taken place.

I'd recommend trying something like a saxophone instead, though. Or a piano if you don't have to move it anywhere.

LaceyLou
I think at least one person on here as already said that he could see Drumpf being willing to accept somebody being killed in order to stage some of the event... he has been shown in the past to be callous when somebody near him is hurt. That said, no, I don't think it was staged. Not the first one anyway. The second situation makes me think that the party's "we think people should be allowed to carry a gun everywhere" doesn't apply to everybody. romad1
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/11/02/opinion/trump-madison-square-garden-private-life.html?unlocked_article_code=1.W04.Ai93.ocZtHMQbk78c Quote Donald Trump’s private life is marked by a cascade of sordid episodes. But so is his public life. Trump simply has no character. When I asked a scholar what Shakespearean figure Trump most resembles, he replied that Trump is not complex enough to be one. You have to have a character to have a tragic flaw that mars your character. And that raises the question: How did the America of George Washington never telling a lie, the America of Honest Abe, the America of the Greatest Generation, the America of Gary Cooper facing down a murderous gang alone in “High Noon” — how did this America, our America, become a place where a man with no character has an even chance of being re-elected president?

LaceyLou
The only thing I can think of is that there are many people who look at stories of the Wild West with its lawlessness and find them romantic. The reality was different, of course but people still like the idea.

A bunch of white people demanding they stop counting the votes of black Detroiters. My wife and I lost a friend over that. He was down there and we both flat out told him we are done with him. The police should have tear gassed those people out on to Jefferson and and March them up Woodward to Highland Park or up Gratiot a few miles. Then as Marcellus Wallace said…. They can get mideivel on them. I’m half joking.

Instead of reporting facts on both sides they are in a frenzy. Bill having to call them out is amazing. Tiger337
If mainstream is totally on board with Trump's opponent, then it's about time.
