If mainstream is totally on board with Trump's opponent, then it's about time.  He is one of the worst human beings in America and they've been letting get away with murder for 9 years.

That’s one way to look at it. What if next time the tables are turned? They support the next Trump? I guess credentials and journalism only apply to the angle they back at the end of the day.

Absolutely stunning. If this is accurate, which Seltzer is one of the best polls there is, we are looking at a landslide.

Let's just hope that the next Drumpf never makes it to Super Tuesday in the primaries.

There won't be a next Trump.  He's a freak who has totally conned 40% of the electorate.  If there is one, I hope they expose him a lot more quickly.

I have no problem wth the media supporting a conservative candidate who is intelligent and sane.  I wouldn't vote for that person, but I would consider them qualified.

LOL, I was just going to post that and was hoping to get here before MTB.  I agree this is really good news.  Trump was up by 4 in the same poll in September.

I'm in Rural IL, but the result doesn't surprise me that much. The energy isn't there...

While it would be good news for Harris to win Iowa, I don't think this guarantees a win for her in places like WI, MI, PA, etc.

I've heard that a lot of women who remember life before Roe are going heavily for Harris in states who recently passed abortion bans/restrictions-like Iowa. Many of them know women who died from botched illegal abortions.

This poll is probably an outlier to a degree, but I've driven across Northern IL and IA a bunch since moving up here last year. This just isn't surprising to me... The energy isn't there.

I hope (and suspect) that transfers to Rural WI and MI in ways that helps Kamala Harris.

Bigger picture, it feels like the WWC is (again) the demo that the media has ignored. This poll validates that idea

You are right. Once Trump loses we can hopefully get back to sanity. I just would like to avoid RW violence. Many will lean on stuff like this and call foul.

Wednesday can not get here soon enough.

What I would like to see, if people want different, is for them to go into their communities and find ways to help. There are plenty of organizations, with both conservative and liberal leanings, that could really use volunteers.

Of course, this only works if they really do want to improve things. If they're just trying to help themselves or want permission to hate it won't work at all.

I agree. I'm new here but need to get involved.

With respect to this election, if I didn't have going kids and a job, I'd be north of the Cheddar Curtain door knocking. I've donated money, but I wish I could do more

Raising kids is a full time job! Still, I think once you've settled in you'll be able to find something that interests you. I'm looking into transit and housing groups, myself.

I wonder if a significant number of farmers in Iowa have factored in how a tariff war would impact their livelihood.

I haven't heard anything concrete, but have heard others say this is one issue that's impacting their decision there.
