mtutiger
Days like today really make the preening and concern trolling from some about the campaign (and decisions that the campaigns made) seem so much more meaningless. Campaigns obviously have a responsibility to fight for every vote and do what is effective obviously. But I'm not a member of a campaign, so I'll say this, whether it's politically correct or not: This is what Donald Trump was broadcasting he would do this entire time. He couldn't have been any more clear. His opponent actually did highlight this stuff as well (even if some feel "that stuff doesn't matter") At some level (or even most level), the voters have to bear responsibility for this. We all tiptoe around it, but it's reality. And we are all collectively going to live the consequences. It's hard for me to even be mad at it honestly... He put it all out there. Do we know anymore that the majority of people will mind living with the consequences? We have assumed that most Americans would not want a right wing authorotarian dictatorship, but maybe they actually do.

It could be interpreted as a personal attack. I’m not really sure what was said that crossed a line. The gloating and not answering questions directly is annoying as all get out, but seriously, this deserves a public shaming?

The first term should’ve been quite obvious that he wasn’t fit to return to office. Just think, around half the people you’ve encountered today (assuming they voted) voted for this worthless ****. Our best bet is he croaks soon. Edited 16 hours ago by casimir

Vance might be just as selfish, but we don’t know for sure. At some point Vance spoke against Trump. I don’t know, his flip flop is quite odd, but maybe he’s like the rest of MAGA and just sees a gravy train led by Trump as long as they convey all fealty to him. I don’t think most Americans necessarily want a right wing authoritarian dictatorship—although maybe 20% or so do—but I do think the rest who voted for him either think it’s going to roll over on someone else and not them, or that they think he’s joking and it’s not going to actually happen.
