I thought we were talking about people that didn't get chosen for cabint positions. I think racism has a lot to do with court rulings, but that's another argument apparently. 1 Quote

Unlike MAGAs, I believe in democracy and the rule of law and I need very strong evidence in order to assert that an election was stolen. Other than that, he's quite a fine human being. Quote
mtutiger Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 (edited) BREAKING President-elect Trump says he intends on nominating Dr. Oz to serve as CMS Administrator. As CMS Administrator, Dr. Oz will oversee Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). These programs provide healthcare to over 100 million Americans. What a joke... another teevee nomination Edited November 19, 2024 by mtutiger Quote

But the hair-raising nature of Trump’s picks was intended to be a feature, not a bug, say people briefed by the team. “People being in a state of shock was the goal, that’s exactly what the MAGA gang wants,” said one Trump ally, requesting anonymity to discuss private deliberations with the president-elect’s team. “They want people who are a total challenge to the system.” Quote

CMRivdogs Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Isn't Diet Coke Trump's drink of choice. I seem to remember him drinking about 12 bottles a day last time he was in the White House. He even had a button on the Resolute Desk to summon someone to bring him a drink Quote

smr-nj Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Water is your friend! Water is life! ( not the bottled stuff…. you need all those chemicals in your tapwater. Lol. Better living through chemistry.) 😁 all kidding aside, get used to drinking water. It’s so much better for you than any of those other drinks. 1 1 Quote

For the first time in my life, I quit sodas a couple of weeks ago. So far, so good. I did love my Coke Zero though. Now I need to slow down on the caffeinated coffee. I’ve got a concoction of really good caffeinated coffee with so-so decaf going right now. Hard to find a good tasting decaf. Yes, water is the best. I’m doing pretty well with that too. Every now and then I do indulge in a sugar free Powerade. Quote
oblong Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 I quit pop about 10 years ago. I first gave up coke then diet. I lost more weight when I quit diet. Was totally addicted. I would get a 20 ounce after lunch and would feel the sensation immediately. More so than any booze or cigarette ever did. the only time now I ever have it would be in a mixed drink at a wedding or whatever. 1 Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Republicans always bitch about how Democrats are going to take away beef or whatever. RFK Jr. is literally about to wage war on Diet Coke and they're alright with it apparently. I remember when they freaked out over Michelle Obama's attempts to make school lunches healthier. That was communist or something. Quote
