Imagine trying to explain to the Trump zealots concepts like the international date line and such.

I did see a report since Japan is something like 14 hours ahead of Las Vegas, she could actually do a show, hop a jet and make it to LV by game time.

"You mean she was there tomorrow and back here today?  That don't make no damn sense.  Fake news"

It's been subtle, but it's interesting (and telling) to see how GOP messaging has drifted away from the economy and toward immigration over the past month or so.

Dems need to talk about the deal the GOP is refusing at every opportunity. Trump and the GOP have overplayed their hand in refusing the deal and the Dems have a great opportunity to flip the scrip. Biden can't let his left flank try to bury the issue instead.

Ironically the Dems have been subtle in slowing drifting towards immigration in the past month or so.  Wasn't too long ago there simply wasn't an immigration problem, at least if you asked the WH.

Smart move IMO and Biden hammered that home the other day with the "I'll close it down" talk.  GOP has been overblowing the immigration issue since Biden got in.  This could seriously downplay that as an issue heading into next year.  (edit: this year)

I don't know if it's completely the intended goal, but there's a narrative that can be written about this Congress (particularly the House) being a "Do-Nothing" Congress, and there is historical precedent for winning a Presidential campaign with that kind of message (1948).

It hasn't gotten much attention compared to the border bill, but the tax bill (including the enhanced CTC) could potentially play into that narrative as well depending on how that negotiation plays out.

RNC to meet after Trump allies pull resolution to call him 'presumptive nominee' | AP News

I'm told that the recent swing state poll suggests that a large block of voters are motivated by the abstract concept of "Democracy" which it would appear that anointing someone twice impeached, once for implementing an insurrection, who has inserted a corrupt ward heeler like Ronna McDaniel into the RNC to help pay his legal bills and navigate the primary process so he didn't have to run against any opposition to be the nominee seems like a bold strategy, Cotton.

Personally I'm really looking forward to Jack Poso's Ted Nugent Eras (Errors?) tour.   My 2 favorite eras for uncle ted are crapping his pants to avoid vietnam and also drinking his own urine in preparation for Y2k

all that said Fred Bear is actually a pretty good tune

It is.   Weird how it all works.   Funny how the pedophilia didn't make it so objectionable that people still won't listen to Michael Jackson at weddings or Gary Glitter at football games?   Although the latter case apparently is much better known in the UK and they stopped playing his music at soccer venues.

Quote

In 1999, Glitter was convicted of downloading child pornography in England, and in 2006 of child sexual abuse charges in Vietnam. After the second conviction was upheld in court, the NFL asked teams to stop playing the song.[7] The NFL allowed a cover version of the song by the Tube Tops 2000 to be played, but in 2012, the NFL instructed teams to "avoid" the song following negative reaction from British media to the New England Patriots' use of the song. In 2014, Billboard reported that the song was slowly falling out of favour due to both the controversies, and teams electing to replace it with newer songs.[8][9][10]

Colin Cowherd has a great rant on the anti Swifties...basically telling them to get a life.

Hey I can remember when Kid Rock would show up at hockey games with Pam Anderson. They seemed to get a bit of air time. And no one complained..

As we all know, it has everything to do with the words they say and nothing to do with the things they do.

For proof of that, just remember that during the pre-insurrection rally Trump used the word “peacefully” as a punchline, and that’s the word all the red hats are leaning into to “prove” it was a peaceful gathering on their part.

The Amboy Dukes also did a pretty good rocked-up version of “Maybelline”, excepting that self-indulgent feedback solo in the middle.

Well, the voters who voted on democracy definitely are voting against Trump by large numbers.  So, its a good indicator that the voters who do actually go to the polls are paying attention.   Hopeful sign.

It's true that people who have been paying attention and as a result don't like Trump will probably be voting on democracy.

Red Hats are being told that democracy is at stake and Joe Biden will destroy it if he's re-elected, so in that sense, they too are voting on "democracy".

The ones who want a dictatorship are not.  They are voting on their blood and soil nationalism.

Red hats don't believe we are a democracy. I'm frequently told we are a republic and not a democracy by red hats and conservatives.
