Trevor says Manning is going to throw some simulated BP and if all goes well he'll start a rehab assignment, also says Meadows hopes and plans to play before the All Star break, hopefully in  the next road trip in KC.

Reminds of the Brieske some in that he's continually underestimated.

Anybody else notice that there must be a field microphone that has been picking up footsteps on the BSD broadcast?  Maybe it’s around the on deck circle?  It sounds like cleats in the gravel & dirt.  I like it as background ambience.

Honestly, I have heard hardly any more than boo about Garrett Hill, so I had no estimation of him to start with.

I have been a Hill supporter for a while.  if he turns out to be good, I can't take credit for it though.  I know nothing about him.   I just liked his stats and the fact that nobody was talking about him.

Yes, it was.  Reaching to his left for the catch and back to the right for the tag.

Grossman did a good job fielding it as well, but the throw was up the line a bit much.

This 2018 draft class has been talented for the Tigers. Maybe give Avila little credit or just lucky?

Kinda funny story, I went to Jacob Turner's debut(the game before the infamous Guillen/Weaver game) and I didn't realize I was sitting right infront of Jacob's family. Anyway Turner was looking so so and my friends and I were like "He doesn't look like a top prospect to me" among other somewhat negative comments. Then we see a cameraman and Chris Rose(it was a national fox broadcast) park in the aisle next to us and start interviewing his family. We immediately turned around and apologized to them if they overheard us talking about him and the Dad was like "No worries, I thought he looked bad too." lol

I vote luck. If Avila knew enough of what he was doing to earn credit for it, he wouldn’t have gotten pantsed on so many drafts, trades, and free agent signings.

That said, getting anything of value from a 26th-rounder is probably always luck.
