romad1 Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Hill's got so much movement. He's like a Zumba dance with ex-lax Quote
RandyMarsh Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Trevor says Manning is going to throw some simulated BP and if all goes well he'll start a rehab assignment, also says Meadows hopes and plans to play before the All Star break, hopefully in the next road trip in KC. Quote

casimir Posted July 4, 2022 Author Posted July 4, 2022 Nice inning out of Hill there. Sure would be a boost to get 6 or 7 out of him today. Quote
chasfh Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 How about Garrett Hill? 26th rounder coming out of nowhere and mowing down a major league lineup in his first two innings. Nice story. Quote

casimir Posted July 4, 2022 Author Posted July 4, 2022 Anybody else notice that there must be a field microphone that has been picking up footsteps on the BSD broadcast? Maybe it’s around the on deck circle? It sounds like cleats in the gravel & dirt. I like it as background ambience. 1 Quote

I have been a Hill supporter for a while. if he turns out to be good, I can't take credit for it though. I know nothing about him. I just liked his stats and the fact that nobody was talking about him. Hill > Wentz. Quote
JackPine Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 What's Hill's pitch/inning limit? Has he been starting in the minors? Quote

Tigerfan6884 Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Man, is Shep on a roll or what. Comparing the chemistry between Barnhart and Hill to the Elton John band. Of course, a couple pitches later Hill allows a HR. I also keep expecting Shep to break out a fife and drum. Quote

Anyway Turner was looking so so and my friends and I were like "He doesn't look like a top prospect to me" among other somewhat negative comments. Then we see a cameraman and Chris Rose(it was a national fox broadcast) park in the aisle next to us and start interviewing his family. We immediately turned around and apologized to them if they overheard us talking about him and the Dad was like "No worries, I thought he looked bad too." lol 3 Quote

I vote luck. If Avila knew enough of what he was doing to earn credit for it, he wouldn’t have gotten pantsed on so many drafts, trades, and free agent signings. That said, getting anything of value from a 26th-rounder is probably always luck. Edited July 4, 2022 by chasfh Quote
