Tigeraholic1 Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 (edited) Comerica Park Detroit, MI Forecast RHP Wily Peralta Vs LHP Kris Bubic Edited September 26, 2021 by Tigeraholic1 Quote
romad1 Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Miggy can taste the 3000. He'd need an incredible final week though. Quote
1984Echoes Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 He can also taste those 600 doubles. Only 4 more of those, plus the 3K = an extremely exclusive club... He might get those 600 this year. Not so certain about the 3K... Quote
1984Echoes Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 I view Peralta as a AAAA guy. You can throw him into the rotation (MLB) in a pinch, and might get some decent pitching out of it... but he could just as easily put up crappy numbers (per his history). I think he added a pitch before this year which has given him good results in 2021... But honestly, I think it's fool's gold. And somebody, for the 2022 season, is going to view him as a back-end starter and offer him more $$$ than I think we should. I would love to have him back in 2022 as a AAAA (6th or 7th starter) guy, pitching in Toledo or Detroit as the need arises and the season plays out. But only if the money is not too great and, like I said... I think he'll get offers for more than he is worth as a 6th/7th (to us) starter. If we're serious about making a playoff push that is.... 1984Echoes Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 He did however, just wiggle out of a bases-loaded situation...! Gave up only 1 run in the 1st (prior to loading the bases...) Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Are the Tigers going to re-sign Wile-e Peralta? Is he going to be a one-year flash? Quote
1984Echoes Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 We're not offering much resistance to Bubic... Quote

1984Echoes Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Maybe... But so far... not a single hit. Quote
1984Echoes Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Peralta gets a Houdini Trophy today after another bases-loaded inning and... no runs allowed. Quote
1984Echoes Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 But the Offense gets a "Limp Noodle Bat" deficiency for having no hits... Quote
Archie Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Lately it seems like the Tigers like to give the other team a head start before they get into the game. I wish they would get in the game sooner. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 (edited) Devin Duvernay sounds like a Seinfeld alias name like Dr. Van Nostrand or Kell Varnsen and of course, Art Vandelay. Oh wait, this is the TIGER thread. Sorry. Edited September 26, 2021 by Motor City Sonics Quote

romad1 Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Is another Detroit team being shutout somewhere else? Quote
chasfh Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 I might have given Niko a 3-0 green light with one out and first base open. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 I'll be glad when Niko Goodrum is gone. Quote
Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Well, it's all up to Harold. Quote
Archie Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 And then there was Harold. Base hit can win it. Quote
1984Echoes Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Hittin' Harold... Now is the time to... Quote
