The people of the Malaitan state of Solomon Islands basically got really angry at their government for taking CCP money to recognize the PRC over Taiwan. So, they all got in their boats and roared over to the capital on Guadalcanal and went rioty. Taiwan being really popular with these folks I guess. According to the China watchers I work with this is a similar story on a lot of the islands in the Pacific that the PRC is working to elite capture. The churchy common folks really don't like it because CCP = satan to them. Quote
