kdog Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 They showed some grit coming back. Once it got to extras and they used Soto, it wasn't going to work. I'll take some positives out of the comeback. This is a lost season with a rudderless franchise. Thanks Chris and Al. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 well, at least the coup de grace came quickly. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Housecleaning can't come soon enough. Sadly there is no "Yzerman obvious" candidate to ride to the rescue. Quote

They shouldnt need an obvious candidate or former Detroit athlete. Go look at the Dodgers front office, where a lot of the new development folks came from, and find someone that fits the bill Quote

We can only hope. I'd still put the odds higher that he just tells Avila to hire his replacement and move upstairs. Path of least resistance. Edited July 27, 2022 by gehringer_2 Quote

Takes no effort for him to hire a search firm to make recommendations for him. Quote
