Motor City Sonics Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Pretty sure we'll get to face Fulmer today at some point. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Brilliance of Vin Scully.................when he did TV he knew when to shut up (Didn't speak for over a minute when Gibby hit the big HR in Game 5) and that's a really important part of the job. He and Ernie were the best. R.I.P. Mr. Scully Quote
mtutiger Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Time for the IL... let's get a look at some other folks Quote

kdog Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 I think they will need to have a conversation with Cabrera about 2023. He has hit the milestones and he's getting the money either way. I wonder if he wants to put himself through this nonsense again. 1 Quote

Fri Sat Sun, Sept 30 to Oct 2, they can do a nice tribute weekend. hell make it all week. here's a check for $40M, thanks for everything. we have a cushy Tiger ambassador job if you are interested 1 Quote
Tigermojo Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 They could force the issue with Cabrera by signing or trading for some good hitters. Quote
Dtrain72 Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 At least we know Alexander is a hell of a batting practice pitcher with all these meat balls so far. Quote

Nothing worse than when great players feel like they have to drag things out or their teams force them to. 1 Quote
Tigermojo Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Next year they have contracts for Cabrera, Baez, Schoop and Meadows. They can non tender some guys if they really need to save money. They definitely have room to add some good hitters. Quote
Tigerbomb13 Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Barnhart has a .491 OPS and we are in August. Holy shit. 1 Quote

Time to "clean some things up" as Al said yesterday but forgot to add himself to the cleaning.... 1 Quote
Dtrain72 Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Clearly Alxander reads these boards between innings..."suck it Dtrain!" Quote
mtutiger Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Harold Castro.... good singles hitter, bad at just about everything else lol 1 Quote
Jim Cowan Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 According to the GameDay strike zone Fulmer is getting a lot of generous calls. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 (edited) So we give away Fulmer for nothing so we can have D. Law help cement two losses in two appearances? Was there some kind of point to that? Just making a move to make a move? If you are going to take a nothing return for Fulmer, why bother at all? At least he might help you win a game or two more for your fans the rest of the way before he goes FA. Your high pick is pretty much already assured, turning the rest of season into a tank-a-thon is just adding insult to injury. Edited August 3, 2022 by gehringer_2 Quote
Jim Cowan Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Yes, I think making a move just to make a move. Quote
Tigerbomb13 Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Looks like another thrilling one today. The 2019 team was more exciting than this. Quote

B-b-b-but Al Alvia said that the deadline was filled with relief pitchers. That’s why the Tigers couldn’t get anything for him. Quote
