Carpenter is batting 6th? Should have batted him 2nd or 3rd get him some at bats. Hopefully he plays every day till he proves he cant hit, got to see what they have. Anyone know if he is a good fielder, or even average?

supposedly poor, though this week there was a clip of him making a nice play for an assist on a ball off the wall, so at least he can find 2b on this throws.

Thank you. So maybe thats also why they waited to bring him up,  also he really only has this year of really good hitting, 97 games. he's going to have to be above average hitter if he has a future with the team.

Somebody touched on it upthread, but this is really the most exciting part here in the short term. We are no longer going to be shackled to folks like Daz Cameron, Drew Hutchison, Victor Reyes, etc. Would love to see some DFAs before the end of the month.

Up against a guy with a 6+ ERA and one time through the order  thus far our offense has broken more bats than balls hit to the OF and of course have no base runners.
