Norris is going tonight?  I tell you what, I just got back from the beach, traveling via van, and I feel absolutely zen as hell.  I’m stoked for tonight.  I’m calling 8-2 victory tonight.  Jump on the bandwagon early, seats are still available, but we set sail promptly at 7:10p.

nice farmer's tan, pete.

as someone who is very pale and burns in the shade, ive often wondered how much sun block those guys use.

Sounds like Skubal is done for the year.

are we still giving Fetter our unconditional love?  Is it just coincidence or bad luck?  Other teams experience this, but you can't help but wonder when Turnbull, MIze, Manning and Skubal have all encountered arm issues under his watch.  And, yes, I do have a Tin Foil hat on as I type this.

Tarik Skubal will not pitch again this season for the Tigers and there is some concern with the pain in his elbow injury, per AJ Hinch.

He’s in LA right now and will see a specialist next week.

I really don't know enough to say one way or another but you do have to keep in mind with coaches from the college ranks that their job there is to maximize the performance of the pitcher in the 2-3 years he is there and not necessarily thinking about his long term health since it's not on their watch if a guy gets hurt after he leaves the program. Not saying that is what is happening here but it's something to think about.

College managers abuse pitchers with high pitch counts and short rest. I follow this team very closely and have seen none of that. The pitching injuries are bad luck. The rest of this disaster is on Hinch, Avila, and everyone else.

Shep says Kopech is sharper than his last outing as he leaves a fastball middle/middle and Candelario fouls it off......

Somebody inform Shep that the guy who built this Pinto has been relieved of his duties.

Not that Dan/Jim have been slappies, but even so, they have had a marked tone change since the firing. Why shouldn't Bally?

two BB this inning but he gets out of it. Norris's body control does seem better on the mound, but maybe that's because his best FB so far has been about 91.
