gehringer_2 Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Norris failing in relief - what a surprise. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Riley's got his OBP back up to .300 after a strong few games, still disappointing but it's nice to see a little bounce back after being Coolbaugh'd for several weeks. Quote
Evil Roy Slade Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Gary Jones breaks me up. Always has a toothpick in his mouth and always puts his arm around the guy when he’s on first base. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 The human rally killer Miguel Cabrera quickly shuts down any hopes of a big inning with the GIDP. Quote

I don't get the point of playing him when the knee is not good. Completely pointless. I find it hard to believe he doesn't know once he warms up each day whether he is going to be able to drive off it or not. 2 Quote

I was content to see him getting on base couple of months ago...he wasn't blocking anyone...but that stopped a while ago. Yes he should be capable of deciding that he isn't healthy enough to play. 1 Quote

Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 not sure why they're even pitching to Haase. I'd just send him down to first to get to Cabrera. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 (edited) Cabrera - LOL. Tigers need a one legged man to win a game Edited August 24, 2022 by gehringer_2 Quote
Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 (edited) I suppose Miggy's ability to work a walk and a pitcher who can't find the strike zone would be a reason to not IBB Haase. Edited August 24, 2022 by Crazy Cat Gentleman Quote
RandyMarsh Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Miggy fouls off a hanging slider right down the middle the pitch before K'ing. That pitch was put on a tee for him and he just couldn't barrel it up, story of the past couple years for him. Quote

sabretooth Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 I am not watching this f'ing team next year if they still have Cabrera. Enough already. 1 Quote
RandyMarsh Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 (edited) Miggy is the negative side of Tigers legends, on the positive side is Justin Verlander who is currently through 6 no hit innings against the Twins with 10Ks. At 91 pitches so unless they just let him empty the tank I don't know if he will be able to go the full 9 but he's been as good as ever tonight. Only Twin to reach base was off a passed strike 3. You play him because he's a future hall of famer, Ballys has to show the milestone tracker in the stands, and all 9,241 people that showed up bought their tickets to see him swing a bat. Quote
mtutiger Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Miguel competed well in that last AB, but there was little confidence he could Ultimately hit Doval there. Quote
