Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 haha, 2nd 4-homer game for the Tigers this season. Quote
chasfh Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 I didn’t realize how much I’ve missed Tiger home runs until this game. Quote
chasfh Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Not like this is an actual jinx or anything, but Haase does have the wheels to leg out a triple. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 If 2 Tiger Rookies hit back to back home runs in the 9th inning to take a 1-run lead and there is nobody there to hear it does it make a sound? 1 Quote

Well, he’s not gonna leg out a triple on that lol Although if it had hit the posts on the fence just the right way … First five-hit game by a Tiger since Niko Goodrum on May 31, 2019 https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/ATL/ATL201905310.shtml?__hstc=205977932.f96d8e68da77273bd39995e4f3da0218.1662591337541.1662591337541.1662593458227.2&__hssc=205977932.5.1662593458227&__hsfp=3374780288 Quote
mtutiger Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Would it be too much to ask Gregory to put this one away? Too many other good things happened today, would rather remember those lol Quote

chasfh Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 It wasn’t easy—it almost never is—but Soto had just enough for the save. Quote
Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 whew! I just barely caught that, too. my Roku was so annoyed by the walks that it unceremoniously dropped back to the home screen. Quote
Jim Cowan Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 We'll take it but jeez a closer with a WHIP of 1.37... Quote
lordstanley Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Win! I wonder when was the last time the Tigers had 3 rookies homer in the same game? 1 Quote

sabretooth Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 This is a great game.....honestly one of the coolest Tiger games I've seen in about 10+ years. Quote

sabretooth Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 After the 2013 ALCS disaster, it was three+ years of The Expendables, four+ years of hard tanking, and two years of a failed rebuild. At the beginning of this season, I had hopes that the tank-picks in Greene, Tork, and Mize would help make this team decent, along with the Baez/Meadows/Schoop/Candy/ERod veteran axis. Didn't happen of course...and now a new group of kiddies just might be emerging.....and they are not tank picks either. Little tiny green shoots in what has seemed like the salted ground of our minor league system....dare we hope for a positive future that is supported by players who did not require $100M or 100 losses to acquire them? sabretooth Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Today I declare, I shall hope again. Come back, Bert, there may be something happening that you will actually want to share with the next generation. Quote
