Post game show says this is the first time in Tigers history that 3 rookies hit a HR in the same game. I find that pretty hard to believe that it never happened in their long history but apparently it's the case.

I'll admit to not even knowing who Lester is. just thought it was hella weird to have such a long interview (or much of any interview) with an opposing player's family.

Its quite possible the father has a longer interview than the player during the player's active playing career.

Stat of the day:

This season, in 24 PAs (6 games), Ohtani hit .273/.333/.773 vs the Tigers, good enough for a 199 sOPS+.  In 21 PAs (all of 1 game, but just play along), the Tigers hit .294/.429/.647 vs Ohtani, a 242 sOPS+.  Against the Tigers, Shohei giveth and he taketh away this year.

Saw a tweet that says that Ohtani has the same career OPS+ as Jeff Bagwell while having the same ERA+ as Pedro Martinez, obviously a much smaller sample but it's just mind boggling the true generational talent we are witnessing.
