RandyMarsh Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Post game show says this is the first time in Tigers history that 3 rookies hit a HR in the same game. I find that pretty hard to believe that it never happened in their long history but apparently it's the case. 1 Quote
alex Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Nice game to watch today. Nice win for the Tigers! ☺️ Perhaps, just perhaps, 'Some hope for their future.' Quote

Its quite possible the father has a longer interview than the player during the player's active playing career. 2 Quote
casimir Posted September 8, 2022 Author Posted September 8, 2022 Stat of the day: This season, in 24 PAs (6 games), Ohtani hit .273/.333/.773 vs the Tigers, good enough for a 199 sOPS+. In 21 PAs (all of 1 game, but just play along), the Tigers hit .294/.429/.647 vs Ohtani, a 242 sOPS+. Against the Tigers, Shohei giveth and he taketh away this year. Quote
theroundsquare Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 I've seen it too many times before. I still expect nothing. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Saw a tweet that says that Ohtani has the same career OPS+ as Jeff Bagwell while having the same ERA+ as Pedro Martinez, obviously a much smaller sample but it's just mind boggling the true generational talent we are witnessing. 1 Quote
