I just saw the 2 point conversion.   Do you think the 29 on the scoreboard just confused Rivera?

If they convert, they are down 6 and a TD wins instead of tie if they stop the Lions. If they fail, they are still one score down. It's like going for it at the end of the game to win instead of playing for the tie.

Salaries don’t really matter.  Good teams figure out how to maneuver the system.

not really.  the chiefs and packers both traded their #1 receivers this year because of the cap.

youre right that the cap is circumventable, but it eventually catches up to you and youre starting jameis winston or marcus mariota at qb.

Maybe the Chiefs and Hill but that was a unique situation.  Adams wanted a new start.  GB made him a huge offer and he didn’t take it.   Having no backup plan for an aging QB is why NO and ATL are starting those guys and not cap.

I missed the game unfortunately but caught up on the highlights and Amon Ra is confirming what I've already known about him, that he will be an elite receiver in this league if he's not already. He's basically another Cooper Kupp with his uncanny ability to always get open and evade defenders despite the lack of any elite athletic traits.

He has a special competitive drive as well, you can just see when he interviews that he has that intensity that few others have. Hell of a pick Brad Holmes, it makes up for the 2nd round miss in that draft.

Its concerning, but as long as they did enough to win, I can't complain. If they didn't have stretches where they looked bad, they'd be the greatest team of all time.

It's an imperfect team so there will be imperfect performances. The fact that the offense is humming like this with more than half of their offensive line starters out (and their top backup guard) as well as their prized rookie receiver is a really good sign going forward I'd think.

The defense is going to have issues all season especially with the injuries on the D-line so just have to hope the offense outscores their problems going forward. Next week should be another shootout.

What a fun day downtown Detroit. First experience at ford field was awesome.

Was feeling so good I put $50 bucks on the cardinals at +1200 when they were down 17-0.  Covered all my expenses plus some. Fun day. Now do I go to the game In Minnesota next weekend?

This team still has some talent holes, but they work. They move. Let’s go win some more.
