Wes Moore Gov of Maryland intrigues me I'm a bit biased since he's my Governor, but the parallels between the origins of FDR and JB Pritzker (Govs of large states, technocratic in governance, uber wealthy yet class traitors) I find interesting. I don't know that he has the juice for it, and obviously is not the most photogenic option (compared to a Wes Moore), but he's for sure in the mix. Edited Saturday at 10:32 PM by mtutiger Quote

romad1 Posted Monday at 11:32 AM Posted Monday at 11:32 AM Boots on the ground from Germany, UK, France, et al., with a no-fly zone, appear to be the thing necessary to end the War on favorable terms. I think the EU + UK need to be the construct for this given the US' support of Putin's agenda. The US ceasing cyberops against Russia is going to make Russian offensive ops in the United States and the West including propaganda on our social media and attempts to attack our elections systems much harder to thwart. The value of that to Putin/Musk/Trump will be enormous. GOP representatives need to be shamed by the public. They may never vote to do anything wrt Trump's abuses of the post-WWII collective security structures but at a minimum the shame will be correctly applied to these weasels. 1 Quote

Poland's Walesa blasts Trump over communist-style Zelenskyy grilling Quote WARSAW: Poland's freedom icon Lech Walesa and dozens of other communist-era dissidents on Monday slammed Donald Trump over his clash with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, comparing the US president's actions to "communist courtrooms." In their Oval Office meeting on Friday, Trump berated Zelenskyy, telling him to be more "thankful" for US support against the invading Russian army in the three-year war and that without US assistance, Ukraine would have been conquered by Moscow. In a letter addressed to the US president, Walesa and around 40 other Polish former dissidents said they had watched Trump's conversation with Zelenskyy "with horror and disgust." "The atmosphere in the Oval Office during this conversation reminded us of the hearings by the Security Service and in the communist courtrooms," former Polish president Walesa and fellow dissidents said in the letter. The quid pro quo was going the other way, the minerals deal was Ukraine's piece in return for US support. No support, no need for Ukraine to make a minerals deal. Quote

Poland's Walesa blasts Trump over communist-style Zelenskyy grilling Well that's because Trump got all that from Putin. That's why their conversations were private and never recorded. Trump asked Putin: "How do I murder journalists like you do and get away with it?" "How do I steal all the riches of a country like you and Kim Jong Un do?" "I want to join your league of corrupted governments, how do I do that?" "Do you think I should execute all the Dems?" "Should I just ignore all the courts as if they don't exist?" "How do I **** over countries or sections of a country like you did to Chechnya, Syria, and Ukraine?" "Do you think if I committed genocide they would get mad at me?" It appears Trump learned important fascist lessons from his Master. That's also why Trump cozied up to Kim and had private lessons from him in Pyongyang. Quote
