I think it's tough to ask them to not be concerned about it, but there is definitely also a class that is driving way less and can absorb it temporarily and maybe they could chillax a tad. It's the poor folks fault though. If they would only buy a Tesla, they wouldn't need to worry about gas prices. (referencing Colbert) Quote

Still - it's one thing for Ivan not to have established 'air superiority', but another to assume the good guys control enough of the skies for A10s not to be sitting duck for superior air to air combat planes. romad1 Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 This is really amazing stuff. As a professional I'm shocked at how bad these guys are. Quote
romad1 Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 If you want to win in a modern complicated battle you need all the arms in concert. We used to describe it as a ballet. It was weird listening to guys who were more comfortable talking about their brand of dip than discussing Swan Lake talk in those terms but that was the phrase we used. You need to fight in any terrain. You need artillery to fight off infantry and air defense. You need air defense to fight off air. You need air to fight artillery and tanks. You need tanks to fight tanks. You need drones to give you an idea of what is going on and to augment your air. It requires organization to de-conflict all those "dancers" in the ballet. It requires very smart people to provide logistics for the dance. If you only use one instrument (tanks) at a time on a single axis of attack then you are going to lose a lot of stuff and people will die. Quote
Jim Cowan Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 They are sitting ducks. I'll bet that Putin doesn't even read the casualty results, he isn't interested. Didn't Trump once say that military cemeteries were full of losers? That would be Putin's approach too, the dead guys had disappointed him. Quote

This is like watching Jason Statham be surrounded by 10 guys, who then step in to fight him one at a time. 2 1 Quote

1984Echoes Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 That would be beyond hilarious if Japan and Georgia took back their territories whilst he's entranced with Ukraine. Just need Moldova to take back Transdniestria for the trifecta. Armenia-Azerbaijan seems a bit complicated; I don't want to wade into that one... Quote
