Companies that tell you that you have to go to a website to view and download PDF copies of your records, and give you steps on how to do this.

When you go to the website, the places that the directions posted tell you to click on do not exist, so you end up having to search the site for what you want, and it takes about 10 more clicks than it should have.

LOL - I had one employer once where you had to navigate a fairly arcane website to get to your paycheck statement and once you got there it was a locked PDF you could look at but not download! This was back in the day when there was no "print to PDF" option in any browser. if you didn't have a license to the full version of Adobe Acrobat with Distiller ($$$) on your computer you just had to print and file a hard copy.

I bet it's because nobody knows how to change the phone system.  They probably fired the person who did know, and that was the only one who knew, and rather than spend the few thousand it would cost to get the vendor out to help them... they just let you suffer because.... what else are you going to do?

This is also probably why most automated phone systems always say "listen carefully, because some options have changed."

When setting my thermostat, I'm trying to figure out the right set point-I don't want to waste energy but I don't want to freeze either. 

At least this one is easy to program.

I live near Greenfield Village. Every year they do Holiday Nights for a few weeks, which ends in a fireworks show.  Every night on our neighborhood FB page someone asks if anybody hears loud booms or gunshots.

Clout Chasers on the internet are one of the biggest Pet Peeves for me. 

There is one named Johnny Somali who goes to countries who are famous for their politeness (Japan and South Korea) and stirs up trouble by verbally assaulting regular people and smashing things in stores and throwing food all over the place.     People give him money for this.     It explains a lot about the state we're in as a country here.     Americans are basically trash to the rest of the world. 

People in Korea started hunting him and he has been assaulted several times (something Koreans typically don't do). 

He was trying to flee the country, but since South Korea is a peninsula with the only escape by land being North Korea, they found him and arrested hmi.  

Anyway, he's being indicted for several things like using AI to post pictures of him doing sexual things with a woman who doesn't even know him.   He's also got about 30 other charges pending and his passport has been revoked

This is how he was making a living.   A better living than most of us. 

How sad.

Trying to find post-bunion surgery shoes. 

I looked at one website for recommendations, and a moderator took out all brand names mentioned. While I understand the issue, it's frustrating because knowing which brand names make a good shoe to wear while my foot continues to recover is exactly what I need to make the search easier.

Also I tried on shoes half a size larger than normal because they didn't have any in the size I've been wearing for years, and it appears that I've been wearing the wrong size. They feel way better, and not just on the foot that's recovering.

Live and learn, I guess.

Where I live we have a few custom shoe stores. My wife being a nurse goes to one that helps source shoes to help with he Planter Fasciitis. Anyways they have a number of different resources to find comapanies that specialize in different fits. The last time they order her three different shoes to try, no upfront money either.
