As a die-hard GOP guy for my entire life,  Biden has been outstanding.  He's restored regular order to most things the government does.  He got us through COVID lockdowns, he has navigated Russia and China to a much better degree than any President could have been expected since HW Bush or Nixon (both famously foreign policy specialists).  He smacked down the nonsense GOP plans to cut the most popular social safety net program that I paid into all my gd life.

My negatives:  He's older than I like. 

The degree to which people try to generate outrage against him is weird and artificial.

He’s the Applebees while on a road trip president. Nobody’s first choice. A little stale in decor. You get a peak mid 90s vibe.  But if the other choices are a cockroach infested diner or a place where the meat is gray and you aren’t sure you won’t end up with food poisoning… it will do.  The beer is cold. The chicken tenders are fine.  The French onion soup is comforting especially when they used too much cheese and it overflows along the mug and you get to peel it off and eat as a hunk.   None of this will be the best food you ever had. It it’s familiar and will get you thru until you find a 4 star modern establishment at the next stop.

The Applebee's comparison is good. Everyone likes Applebee's but the food snob in them cannot admit they like it so they pretend they have 4 star tastes but would rather be at Applebee's. 

Biden has been the most progressive president since Johnson. He hasn't merely been a placeholder that a lot of people thought he would be.

Domestically...I'll give you that.   He has been a Jose Andres level, Michelin star wrt foreign policy.
