Shinzaki
Cossa has been named to the ECHL all star game. His save % is a touch low...but his GAA is solid.

Shinzaki
They either waive him and hope he goes unclaimed or bring him up...then you have to decide between waiving Hellberg and keeping three goalies. Apparently, they have more faith in Hellberg or they believe he'll be claimed and Ned won't be
sagnam
Could it also be that they think neither will get claimed but they prefer Hellberg right now?

slothfacekilla
Red Wings acquire forward Jasper Weatherby from San Jose Sharks Exchanged for forward Kyle Criscuolo, Weatherby recorded 11 points in 50 games with Sharks during 2021-22 season Weatherby is 24 and Criscuolo is older so I guess it is just getting younger in the AHL? 1984Echoes
He's a big guy at 6' 4" 225 #'s... I'm assuming he's a grind-liner type? Don't know if he has any offensive upside or his level of toughness...
1984Echoes
Criscuolo is 30 so there's nothing but upside here... even if Jasper never does all that much... Although he already has more NHL games (50) than Criscuolo's 15... I'm not certain what the Shark's angle is here...

The only thing I can guess at is that they need scoring at the AHL level, but it looks like they're in 7th place in their division so still seems random. I guess Criscuolo's cap hit is around $100k less than Weatherby and the Sharks have less than a million bucks in cap space, so this could offer slight flexibility in the event of a call up but that's probably grasping at straws. This at least helps the Wings with the veteran logjam in the AHL too, hopefully no more Vrana scratches.
