Motor City Sonics Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 Dan Campbell and the Coaches have their defining moment today. If this team gets destroyed today, after two weeks to prepare, then we are getting an idea of what we're in for the rest of the way. If the wheels fall off today we're probably looking at a Top 3 pick because if they look anything like the New England game, we are going to be in for a very long season. I don't know, maybe the plan was to tank all along, but I don't think so. If they are horrible the rest of the season how do you bring Campbell back? The Seattle and New England games all but killed the energy behind this team. If they face Miami at 1-5 do you think the crowd at Ford Field is really going to bring that same energy back. They don't need to win today, but they'd better took like they are prepared to play and hopefully we get to see Dallas' punter a few times. They are angry after a loss and Dak is going to want to show something today. Will this team be able to stop a QB who rolls out, because this is Dallas will do and if the Lions don't have an answer this time, maybe its time for a DC change. Not feeling good about this one at all Dallas 38, Lions 23 Looking forward to Swift playing half the game and then missing the next 3 weeks. 2nd round pick - it never ends. When do Dylan Larkin and Cade Cunningham get hurt for the rest of the season? Feels like only a matter of time. Detroit - where sports fans go for torture. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 (edited) Oh wait, Swift unlikely to play again.................he's done. Time to find a new RB. So here we are still looking for Defensive Line help and a RB in the draft again. Holmes gets longer than Campbell, but he'd better be close to perfect the next two drafts. 1991 sure was fun. Let's hire the coach before the GM. Winning strategy. Edited October 23, 2022 by Motor City Sonics Quote
Hongbit Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 (edited) Someway and somehow the Lions defense will force turnovers. The offense will get back to better form and Dak will struggle getting his timing back. Lions 30 Cowboys 24 Late Dallas score makes it look closer than it really was. Motown Bombers Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 (edited) Lions will come out strong. St Brown will open with a 75 yard TD reception and the Lions jump out to an early 14-0 lead. By the 4th quarter, they have a 20-17 lead. 3rd and 1 and Goff throws a pass to Hockenson but it's well defended. In a reverse of course, Campbell elects to punt and newly signed Jack Fox shanks it. Dallas goes down the field and scores a TD despite holding Hutchinson on every play. Final score 24-20 Dallas. Edited October 23, 2022 by Motown Bombers Quote

I like this but it’s missing refs throw a flag for an obvious roughing the kicker on the punt by Fox and then decide to pick it up because the Dallas crowd was booing. 1 Quote
Hongbit Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 Brockers a healthy scratch. Paschal and Cominsky back in. Quote

TP_Fan Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 I would be surprised if this game is close today. I expect Dallas to go up early and the game to never be in doubt. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 Lions get off to a fast start and lead 20-7 when Goff throws a pass to Hockenson, who was obviously interfered with and a flag is thrown and inexplicably picked up. Team collapses and loses 24-20. Head of officiating spotted in Jerry Jones suite. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 Already see they are standing up Hutchinson. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 Hutch gets through.................there was no flag on that play, he was totally held. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 Nice first defensive drive getting the stop early. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 3rd & 7............make sure you throw it 5 yards here Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 Yikes!!!!! Almost turned that one over. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 What a call on 3rd down..........sure fooled 'em there. Quote
TP_Fan Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 Get a first down and then two straight times to set up 3rd and 7. And then run on 3rd and 7. Ben Johnson shine is wearing off. What a trash play calling series. The offensive play calling has seriously regressed. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 Lol what? 3&7 and they just gave up on the drive with a draw play. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 we have to listen to Romo all afternoon? Quote
Motown Bombers Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 That's the type of call when you know you are going for it on 4th down. Pick up 3 or 4 yards and go for it again. Quote
Hongbit Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 I like the run call. Play was there to get either 1st or close to go on 4th. Reynolds went the wrong way Quote
TP_Fan Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 Just now, Hongbit said: I like the run call. Play was there to get either 1st or close to go on 4th. Reynolds went the wrong way It’s obvious these players are poorly coached. Busted assignments week after week. Players don’t know what they are supposed to do. Quote
